Methods of predicting preeclampsia using biomarkers
The subject invention pertains to biomarkers for identifying a subject as having high risk of the development PE. The biomarkers presented herein include miRNAs, post-translational modification of histone proteins, amount, expression and/or activity of histone or DNA modifying enzymes and methylation of sites in the genomic DNA. In certain embodiments, increased miR-17, increased acetylation of H4 histone protein, decreased amount, expression and/or activity of HDACS mRNA or protein or increased methylation of DNA at the genomic site CYP19A1 in the blood, serum or plasma of a subject compared to that of a control subject is used to predict the development of PE in the subject. The invention also provides kits and reagents to conduct assays to quantify biomarkers described herein. The invention further provides the methods of treating and/or managing PE in a subject identified as having a high risk of the development of PE.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a cabinet that defines a storage chamber, an upper door that is configured to open and close an upper portion of the storage chamber by being drawn in and out, a lower door that is positioned below the upper door and that is configured to open and close a lower portion of the storage chamber by being drawn in and out, an upper door restriction unit that is configured to selectively restrict the upper door from being opened, and a lower door restriction unit that is configured to selectively restrict the lower door from being opened. The upper door restriction unit is configured, based on the lower door being opened, to restrict the upper door from opening, and the lower door restriction unit is configured, based on the upper door being opened, to restrict the lower door from opening.
Stabilizers for preventing furniture from tipping
Stabilizer that provides tip resistance to a piece of furniture against a wall includes a first plate, a second plate, and a limited expansion assembly between inner sides of the first and second plates and having a collapsed state providing the stabilizer with its smallest thickness between outer sides of the first and second plates and a fully expanded state in which the stabilizer has its largest thickness between outer sides of the first and second plates. When the first plate is attached to the wall and the second plate is attached to the piece of furniture, movement of the piece of furniture away from the wall is prevented once the expansion assembly has attained its fully expanded state.
Convertible item having an anti-tip leg system
A convertible item of furniture including: a plurality of shelf units, wherein each shelf unit has a horizontally extending leave and at least one leave support for supporting the leave; a drive system operably connected to each leave support such that the leaves remain horizontal when the shelf units are moved between a vertical configuration and a horizontal configuration; and, an anti-tip leg system. The anti-tip leg system has a front leg assembly and a rear leg assembly including an upwardly extending pair of rear legs, each rear leg comprising a rear leg upper region operably connected to a shelf unit or a part of the drive system, and a rear leg lower region supporting at least one wheel, and a linkage assembly interconnecting the front and rear leg assemblies. A spacing between the front and rear leg lower regions increases as the shelf units move towards the horizontal configuration.
Furniture anchors and protectors
An apparatus that may anchor and/or protect furniture includes a compressible element and an adhesive material on opposite sides of the compressible element. The compressible element, which may comprise an expandable polyurethane foam, and the adhesive material may enable the apparatus to be secured to a piece of furniture and a wall and, when secured in position, to withstand pulling forces of at least about 50 pounds. Thus, the apparatus may prevent furniture from tilting and falling away from the wall. The adhesive material may also be removable from the surface of a wall while leaving substantially no residue or no residue on the surface of the wall. Methods for securing furniture to walls are also disclosed, as are apparatuses and methods for preventing furniture from damaging walls.
CONTAINER ASSEMBLY SYSTEMS AND METHODS AND COMBINATION OF CONTAINER ASSEMBLY AND WEIGHT MATERIAL ASSEMBLY FOR STABILIZING OBJECTS
A weight system comprising a weight material assembly having predetermined dimensions and a container assembly. The weight material assembly comprises weight material comprising at least one of sand and gravel and a weight material bag adapted to contain the weight material. The weight material bag comprises at least a ply of paper material. The container assembly comprises a panel assembly defining an interior chamber, an access opening, and an access flap and a closure system operable in an open configuration and a closed configuration. The interior chamber is sized and dimensioned to accommodate the predetermined dimensions of the weight material assembly. The weight material assembly may be displaced through the access opening and into the interior chamber. With the weight material assembly arranged within the interior chamber, the panel assembly is configured in the closed position and the closure system is operated in the closed configuration.
Drawer dresser and drawer cabinet with stabilization device
A furniture assembly comprises two or more drawers and a plurality of pouches disposed at a rear lower portion of the furniture assembly. The plurality of pouches are filled with water, sand, or dirt. The water may contain a plurality drops of bleach. A minimum weight of the plurality of pouches is determined from torque balance of forces and weights. In one example, the plurality of pouches are disposed at a rear portion of a lower drawer. A rear wall of the plurality of pouches directly contacts a rear wall of the lower drawer. A top surface of each of the plurality of pouches and a top surface of a rear wall of the lower drawer are coplanar.
Furniture with lashing mechanism
Dresser includes a frame having a wall section forming a rear wall, and an upper panel that covers an accessible space. A bracket is designed for attachment to a vertical support, a first connector is attached to the bracket, a second connector is attached to the frame in a position to be in the space and removably engages with the first connector when present in the space under the upper panel. The first and/or second connector is/are length adjustable relative to its supporting structure, i.e., relative to the bracket in the case of the first connector or relative to the frame in the case of the second connector to enable a distance between the frame and the vertical support to be reduced. A reduction in distance between the frame and the vertical support and engagement between the first and second connectors prevents tipping of the piece of furniture.
FURNITURE AND APPLIANCE STABILIZING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM TO PREVENT TIP-OVERS
A furniture and appliance stabilizing apparatus has a foot portion and a front portion disposed along a back portion of the foot portion. It also has an elevation portion disposed behind the front portion; and an adjustment means for securing a unit within the elevation portion. When the unit is secured between an inside portion of the front portion and the adjustment means, the unit is elevated along a front part of the unit thereby moving the center of gravity further back from the front part thus stabilizing the unit. The elevation portion and the adjustment means are all angled downward at a selected negative angle forming an angled surface wherein the unit will fit snugly therein when the unit is placed on the elevation portion. The system works in conjunction with drawer extension limiters to prevent tip-overs even when a downward force is applied.
Furniture having anti-tipping construction
Piece of furniture, such as a dresser, includes a frame having a front facing surface and a rear facing surface, rectangular drawers each insertable into and partly removable from the frame and at least one of which includes a vertically oriented front panel, rectangular side panels, a horizontal lower panel and a vertically oriented rear panel, and front, non-adjustable supports and rear, non-adjustable supports for supporting the frame on a horizontal surface. The rear supports have a lower height than the front supports. As such, a distance between a lowermost drawer and a rear of the frame is less than a distance between the lowermost drawer and a front of the frame when the lowermost drawer is fully inserted into the frame.
