In a centrifugal scroll screen apparatus there is provided a scroll assembly (20) driven by a scroll assembly drive shaft (25) and being connected to the scroll assembly by an axial adjuster comprising a shaft cam portion (92) and a scroll portion (96) each having a respective camming surface (94) whereby relative rotation of the scroll portion (96) and the shaft portion (92) axially adjusts the proximity of the vanes to a coaxial conical screening surface, and a locking ring (97) selectively operable to rotationally secure the scroll portion (96) and the shaft portion (92).

In a centrifugal screening apparatus wherein a housing (10, 11) mounts a screen assembly (12) and a scroll assembly (20) to be differentially rotated about the machine axis, there is provided an inlet assembly (30) having an inlet body (31) defining an annular inlet space (32) coaxial with and opening in to an open apical end of the screen assembly (12) and a material supply conduit (35) delivering material to be screened to the annular space (32) and being aligned in a tangent to the annular space to deliver material to the screen assembly (12) substantially in the direction of rotation of the screen assembly (12).

A centrifuge, in particular a separator, includes a rotatable centrifuge drum with a vertical axis of rotation and a non-rotatable fixed housing with a hood and preferably a solids collector. In the centrifuge, the housing, in particular the fixed hood and/or at least one other part of the housing, have at least one first inner wall and a first outer wall which delimit a first cavity. The cavity is at least partly filled with damping/insulation agents that are solid at a process or ambient temperature. A coolant that has a fluid form at a process and/or ambient temperature can be introduced into the first cavity filled with the solid damping/insulation agents.

A centrifuge, in particular a separator, includes a rotatable centrifuge drum with a vertical axis of rotation and a non-rotatable fixed housing with a hood and preferably a solids collector. In the centrifuge, the housing, in particular the fixed hood and/or at least one other part of the housing, have at least one first inner wall and a first outer wall which delimit a first cavity. The cavity is at least partly filled with damping/insulation agents that are solid at a process or ambient temperature. A coolant that has a fluid form at a process and/or ambient temperature can be introduced into the first cavity filled with the solid damping/insulation agents.

A manual centrifuge device, including a housing having a power assembly mechanism for rotating samples with manual power, and a speed indicator for indicating if a predetermined speed has been reached and a time indicator for indicating if a predetermined or calculated time has been reached for rotating said samples operatively connected to the device. A method of centrifuging samples, by selecting a manual power mode or electric power mode on a centrifuge, rotating samples at a predetermined speed for a predetermined or calculated time, alerting a user that the predetermined speed and predetermined or calculated time have been achieved, and obtaining separated samples.

Power-line control of a hazardous-environment-located machine from a safe environment
Apparatus and associated methods related to providing safe electrical control and/or communication between a remote controller located in a safe location and interface system for a machine located in a hazardous location. The control and/or communication is provided via industrial-voltage power lines that traverse a barrier separating the safe location from the hazardous location. Control and/or communication is provided by reactively coupling to industrial power lines, which traverse the barrier, so as to superimpose a control and/or communication signal upon AC operating power provided to the machine. Each of the interface system located at the hazardous location and the remote control module located at a safe location provides such reactive coupling to the industrial-voltage power lines so as to communicate therebetween.
Power-line control of a hazardous-environment-located machine from a safe environment
Apparatus and associated methods related to providing safe electrical control and/or communication between a remote controller located in a safe location and interface system for a machine located in a hazardous location. The control and/or communication is provided via industrial-voltage power lines that traverse a barrier separating the safe location from the hazardous location. Control and/or communication is provided by reactively coupling to industrial power lines, which traverse the barrier, so as to superimpose a control and/or communication signal upon AC operating power provided to the machine. Each of the interface system located at the hazardous location and the remote control module located at a safe location provides such reactive coupling to the industrial-voltage power lines so as to communicate therebetween.
CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR FOR CLEANING GAS
A centrifugal separator for cleaning a gas containing liquid impurities includes a stationary casing including a surrounding sidewall, a first end wall and a second end wall which enclose a space through which a gas flow is permitted. The space includes an upper separation chamber and a lower discharge chamber. The separator further includes an inlet extending through the stationary casing and permitting supply of the gas to be cleaned to the separation chamber, a rotating member including a stack of separation discs and being arranged to rotate around an axis of rotation, wherein the stack of separation discs is arranged in the separation chamber and a drive member for rotating the rotating member. The discharge chamber is arranged axially below the stack of separation discs such that clean gas and separated liquid impurities both enter said discharge chamber after being separated in said stack of separation discs, and further, the separator includes a gas outlet configured to permit discharge of cleaned gas from said stationary casing, wherein the gas outlet includes an outlet opening through the stationary casing and a portion extending from the outlet opening into the discharge chamber. Further, there is a drainage outlet arranged in said discharge chamber and configured to permit discharge of separated liquid impurities from said stationary casing.
