A centrifuge rotor for sample vessels includes a seal between a lower part and a cover. The seal comprises a gasket, which is arranged in a first groove. The first groove is arranged on one of the elements constituted by the cover and the lower part. The first groove, in relation to the axis of rotation of the centrifuge rotor, is open axially toward the other of the elements constituted by the cover and the lower part.
Separator
A separator for separating a flowable suspension in a centrifugal field into at least two flowable phases of different density. The separator includes a housing, which is stationary during operation and is designed as a tank having at least three openings. The three openings include an inlet for an inflowing suspension and two outlets vertically spaced apart from each other for flowable phases of different density. Annular spaces of the housing are associated with the two outlets. A rotatable drum is arranged within the housing and has a vertical axis of rotation. The drum has three openings, corresponding to the openings of the housing. A multi-part support and drive device, which keeps the drum suspended within the housing, is supported and is set into rotation. An air gap is formed vertically between the two outlets and annular spaces of the housing during operation. The air gap is not filled with one of the outflowing phases during operation when the drum is rotating.

Heavy phase liquid discharge element for a centrifugal separator, centrifugal separator and method for separating two liquid phases
The present disclosure relates to a heavy phase liquid discharge element, a centrifugal separator comprising the element and to a method of separating two liquid phases. The heavy phase liquid discharge element comprises at least one inlet opening on a first side of the heavy phase liquid discharge element, the at least one inlet opening being adapted to face an interior of the centrifugal separator, and at least two separate outlet channels defining an outlet on the second side of the heavy phase liquid discharge element, wherein at least a portion of each of the outlet channels overlaps with the at least one inlet opening, thereby forming a liquid pathway between the at least one inlet opening and the outlet defined by the at least two outlet channels through which the liquid can pass. By this design, pressure losses in the heavy phase liquid outlets can be decreased.

Particle separation by density
An apparatus for facilitating particle separation by density includes a separator having an inner surface surrounding a rotation axis and defining a particle path from an input end to an axially spaced output end. The inner surface includes a plurality of axially spaced dividers having respective inner positions, defining at least in part respective axially spaced retainers for collecting particles during rotation of the separator. The retainers each include at least one fluid inlet for fluidizing particles in the retainer during operation. The dividers include a first pair of adjacent dividers and a second pair of adjacent dividers, the first pair nearer the input end than the second pair, wherein a first divider slope of the first pair is greater than a second divider slope of the second pair and wherein each of the first and second divider slopes is zero or positive. Other systems, apparatuses and methods are disclosed.
LIQUID PROCESSING FIXTURE AND DEVICE
A firm and stable liquid processing fixture for clamping a liquid container undergoing a centrifuge process includes a mounting plate, a cover plate, and a fixing element.
