Dirt Separator
A dirt separator including a vessel having a separation container having a lateral container wall, a container bottom, and a container axis, which container has an inlet and an outlet as well as an interior, and having a particle separation chamber, which is disposed at the outlet of the separation container and stands in a fluid connection with the separation container, an inlet for supply of liquid into the vessel, and an outlet for discharge of the liquid out of the vessel. The dirt separator is configured in such a manner that liquid introduced into the separation container flows downward along the container wall in a cyclone-like movement, and then flows upward to the particle separation chamber within the liquid that flows downward in cyclone-like manner, and the dirt separator includes at least one particle separator, which is disposed in the particle separation chamber.
HYDRAULIC FLUID DE-AERATION DEVICE
A hydraulic fluid de-aeration device for a hydraulically actuated variable valve actuation system is provided. The device includes a bridge and a de-aeration chamber having an upper chamber, a lower chamber, and a central axis. A vent pipe is arranged along the central axis of the de-aeration chamber and can include at least one vent hole. The bridge is arranged such that hydraulic fluid flowing from the bridge is directed towards an outer wall of a top portion of the lower chamber. The device includes a cover that integrates the upper chamber with a vent hole for air that is expelled from the hydraulic fluid. An optional gasket or plate configured with at least one vent hole can be arranged between the upper and lower chamber. The vent pipe can be arranged within the cover and extend through the upper chamber to the lower chamber.
LIQUID QUALITY DEVICE WITH WEIR
An inventive apparatus induces a vortex in a liquid flow (e.g., storm-water runoff) to remove particulates from the liquid. The apparatus can be inserted into a tubular portion (e.g., a manhole) such that a sump region is located below the apparatus. The apparatus includes a base and a weir extending upwardly from the base. The base has a first region including a funnel shape with a sump inlet aperture. The base also has a second region including a sump outlet aperture and optionally a sump access aperture. The weir separates the first region from the second region.
LIQUID QUALITY DEVICE WITH WEIR

Live insects transport device
The invention relates to a device for use in large-scale industrial insect farming. More in particular, the invention relates to an insects transport device for transporting live insects from a first location to a predetermined second location, the insects transport device comprising a gas guiding unit, a gas discharge member and a feeder arrangement, wherein the insects transport device is configured to receive live insects such as freshly hatched neonate larvae, for example of black soldier fly, or mites, wherein the live insects are directly taken up in a laminar flow of gas after exiting the feeder arrangement in a free fall under influence of gravitation such that the live insects do not contact any surface of the insects transport device, and while in said gas are transported to a predetermined location in the insects transport device. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the device in industrial insect farming, such as large-scale farming of black soldier flies or mites. The invention also relates to a method of dosing live insects, wherein for example live insects are dosed which are essentially of the same age (e.g. within an age difference of 1 second-5 minutes), such as freshly hatched neonate larvae. In addition, the invention relates to a single dose of neonate larvae obtained with the method, wherein larvae have a small larvae-to-larvae age difference within the single dose.
Low Profile Dust Separator
A dust separator including a top member having a top member having an inlet port arranged to supply dust-laden air and an outlet port arranged to remove clean air, the top member having a lower portion configured as a lip and having a radius which equals diameter of the inlet port, and a dust separator plate, housed within the lip, having a passage with at least one opening arranged to remove the dust from within the top member.
CYCLONE SEPARATION DEVICE
A cyclone separation device includes a cyclone chamber for separating dirt from incoming air, a dirt collecting chamber arranged adjacent to the cyclone chamber for collecting dirt particles separated from air, and a dirt duct between the cyclone chamber and the dirt collecting chamber for allowing dirt particles to exit the cyclone chamber into the dirt collecting chamber. To reduce the generation of noise-generating air vortices, the dirt duct has an edge protruding into a direction at an angle to the dirt duct at an exit ridge of the cyclone chamber that is first encountered by the air rotating in the cyclone chamber. Preferably, the edge is formed by a tangential extension of a wall of the cyclone chamber. A vacuum cleaner advantageously includes such a cyclone separation device.
Process and apparatus to remove carbon-14 from carbon-dioxide in atmospheric gases and agricultural products grown in controlled environments
This invention relates to a process and apparatus for growing agricultural products with a reduced abundance of radioactive carbon-14 (.sup.14C) by employing centrifugal separation of atmospheric gases to selectively remove carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) with .sup.14C. Agricultural products with reduced .sup.14C content can be grown in controlled environments with filtered atmospheric gases for the benefit of reducing harmful damage to human DNA that is unavoidable with our current food chain, due to the natural abundance of .sup.14C in atmospheric gases. Bilateral and unilateral compression helikon vortex apparatus provide efficient and economical removal of CO.sub.2 with .sup.14C from atmospheric gases with a single filtration pass, which is ideally suited for large scale agricultural production.

Dual connection cyclonic overhead separator
A vacuum cyclonic separator that includes: a main body having a top surface with an air outlet, a bottom perimeter defining a bottom aperture of the main body, at least two downwardly facing air inlets and at least one side wall extending between the top surface and the bottom portion and shaped such that air received within an interior cavity of main body moves in a cyclone and wherein the at least two downwardly facing air inlets are in at least substantially the same plane as the bottom perimeter of the main body; and a dump valve assembly capable of being opened and closed with one hand where the dump valve is engaged with the bottom portion to seal the bottom aperture of the main body.
