System and method for remediating highly contaminated fine soil using multiple micro hydrocyclones
The present invention relates to a system for remediating highly contaminated fine soil using multiple micro hydrocyclones that includes: a mill adapted to mix contaminated soil with water and to individualize the soil; a screen adapted to separate the soil introduced from the mill into soil having given particle sizes; a separator adapted to finely separate the soil having particle sizes of less than a given value by particle size from the soil having the given particle sizes separated through the screen; a remediating unit adapted to wash the finely separated soil introduced from the separator by particle size by means of process water for washing; and a filtering unit adapted to separately discharge the soil washed and introduced through the remediating unit and the process water for washing contained in the soil.
Flow and pressure control in cyclonic filter arrays
An air filtration system comprising a plurality of sections configured to receive an incoming airstream is disclosed. In some embodiments, each section of the plurality of sections includes a first airstream receiving side (ASRS) and a second air stream exhaust side (ASES), and a plurality of cells each comprising a cyclonic cavity having a tangential inlet arranged to receive a portion of the airstream via the ASRS, and an axial outlet arranged to exhaust the portion of the airstream to the ASES. Each section is further configured with a cover that can be opened and closed, such that the closing of one or more respective covers of respective sections forces the airstream to flow through remaining sections having open covers as well as their respective cells, at a velocity greater than when such one or more respective covers are open.
Water Processing System and Arrangement
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module where the intake module is above the vortex module, which is above the disk-pack module and the motor module. In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS WITH AN ARRESTER PLATE HAVING A VARIABLE GAP
A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber having a longitudinal cyclone axis of rotation wherein the dirt outlet is defined by a gap between the sidewall of the cyclone and a plate positioned at the dirt outlet end of the cyclone.
Cleaner
A cleaner comprising: a housing having the shape of a hollow cylinder, a barrier for dividing the inner space of the housing into an upper space and a lower space; a barrier through-hole provided so as to penetrate the barrier; an intake portion provided on the circumferential surface of the housing; an exhaust portion provided to penetrate the housing; a housing discharge port penetrating the bottom surface of the housing; a cover for closing the housing discharge port; an alien-substance separating portion provided in the lower space so as to provide a channel that guides air introduced to the intake portion to the barrier through-hole; a fan provided to comprise an impeller positioned in the upper space; a rotating shaft to which the impeller is fixed, and a motor for rotating the rotating shaft; and a storage portion provided to be attachable to/detachable from the housing.
Handheld vacuum cleaner
A handheld vacuum cleaner (10), including a main body (22) having a handle (98), a motor assembly (114) positioned within the main body, and a cyclonic separator assembly (26) removably coupled to the main body. The cyclonic separator assembly includes an inlet nozzle (42) having a dirty air inlet (14) positioned in the front of the handheld vacuum cleaner when the cyclonic separator assembly is coupled to the main body, and a cyclonic chamber (30) in fluid communication with the dirty air inlet. The cyclonic chamber defines a separator axis (34). The cyclonic separator assembly further includes a dirt collection region (38) configured to receive debris separated in the cyclonic chamber. The inlet nozzle includes an upstream height (270) measured perpendicular to the inlet axis and a downstream height (274) measured parallel to the separator axis. The downstream height is larger than the upstream height.
SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A hand vacuum cleaner has an air treatment stage positioned below an inlet conduit. A pistol grip handle is provided at the rear end of the hand vacuum cleaner. An arm member extends from the inlet conduit linearly rearwardly to the upper end of the pistol grip handle. A housing is provided at a lower end of the pistol grip handle. All operating components of the hand vacuum cleaner are located between a lower end of the housing and the inlet conduit.
AIR TREATMENT SYSTEM
An air treatment system includes a cyclone filter and an electrostatic filtration system. The cyclone filter may include a cyclone chamber, a cyclone chamber inlet configured to receive air including suspended particulates, and a cyclone chamber outlet configured to output treated air toward a respiratory interface, e.g., a mask or face shield. The cyclone filter produces a rotational airflow that removes at least some particulates from the air in the cyclone filter. The electrostatic filtration system is configured to charge the particulates in the cyclone chamber with a first polarity to produce an electrostatic attraction of the particulates to a particulate removal system charged with an opposite second polarity, to remove additional particulates from the cyclone filter. The air treatment system may also include an ultraviolet purification system to deliver ultraviolet radiation (e.g., UVC radiation) to kill, destroy or otherwise affect organic particulates in the air being treated.
