Fluid tip

A fluid tip for use with a spray gun. The fluid tip comprises an air cap and a paint nozzle. The air cap comprises an inner surface 206 and the paint nozzle comprises an outer surface 208. The inner and outer surfaces define sides of an air channel 203. The inner and outer surfaces are defined by contours, each contour terminating to form an air channel outlet 207 for discharging an air jet proximal a paint nozzle outlet of the paint nozzle. The contours are configured to provide a velocity profile 400 across the air channel outlet 207 of an air flow 401 through the air channel 203 in which velocities of air radially closer to the paint nozzle outlet are substantially higher than velocities radially further from the paint nozzle outlet.

A dispensing system includes a conduit having a volumetric capacity between an internal discharge orifice for receipt of a flow of pressurized fluid from a valving assembly and an external discharge orifice. The dispensing system further includes a volume of pressurized fluid and a sensor. The fluid has a volumetric flow rate of about 0.05 ml/ms to about 15 ml/ms when released into the conduit from the internal discharge orifice. The sensor detects a sound at the external discharge orifice.

SYSTEM CONTROL BASED ON ACOUSTIC SIGNALS

An example system includes at least one acoustic sensor configured to generate at least one time-dependent acoustic data signal indicative of an acoustic signal generated by a thermal spray system performing a process associated with a plurality of process attributes. The example system includes a computing device including an acoustic data signal module and a control module. The acoustic data signal processing module may transform the at least one time-dependent acoustic data signal to a frequency-domain spectrum. The control module may determine a process attribute of the plurality of process attributes that deviates from a predetermined operating range by identifying at least one characteristic of the frequency-domain spectrum, selecting at least one component of the thermal spray system based on the process attribute, and controlling the thermal spray system to adjust the process attribute toward the predetermined operating range by sending a control signal to the at least one component.

APPLICATION DEVICE, COATING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COATING OBJECTS

An application device having an application unit for coating objects, wherein the application unit has one or more rotatable components, and wherein at least one measurement device is provided, which is designed to detect vibrations of the application unit. A corresponding coating system having one or more application devices for coating objects is also provided, as well as a method for coating objects using an application unit, wherein vibrations of the application unit are detected by at least one measurement device. A fault present on the application unit, for example a detached bell cup or a turbine defect, can be detected in a particularly reliable manner and within a relatively short time.

FLOW RESTRICTION DEVICE AND SANITARY SHOWER

A flow restriction device and/or a sanitary shower equipped with the flow restriction device includes a restrictor body composed of multiple web planes disposed successively in an axial direction and filling a passage cross-section of the restrictor body perpendicular to the axial direction. Each web plane is composed of a plurality of webs extending mutually in parallel and perpendicular to the axial direction, spaced from each other thereby leaving web intermediate gaps. Webs of two directly adjoining web planes extend non-parallel to each other. The device is useful in overhead showers, for example, and limits noise.

Personal Safety Device

A reusable personal safety device for use with a prior art spray repellant canister having a cap, the device having a housing with an alarm component forming the top of the housing, a battery component extending perpendicularly downward from a first end of the alarm component, a support bracket extending perpendicularly downward from a second end of the alarm component, and canister securing means.

FREQUENCY MODULATED SPRAYER
20180030698 · 2018-02-01 ·

A sprayer including a fluid carrier having an inlet configured to receive water from a water source and an outlet for emitting water, and including a vibration source coupled to a portion of the fluid carrier between the inlet and the outlet. When the sprayer is in a first mode of operation, water is emitted from the outlet in a first pattern; and when the sprayer is in a second mode of operation, the vibration source is configured to oscillate the fluid carrier such that water is emitted from the outlet in a second pattern.

Shower head

A shower head (40) has a passageway for a flow of pressurized air from a pressurized air supply, via a Venturi (48) having a convergent portion (46), throat (50) and divergent portion (52), to a shower discharge opening (56), and a passageway (58) for a flow of water from a water supply to a water discharge opening (60) in the Venturi. The Venturi is such that, in use, the general direction of the flow of air is turned through a substantial angle in the Venturi. This folding of the Venturi enables a compact configuration of shower head to be provided.

Thermal and audio controlled valve and showerhead assembly

A valve for use with a showerhead assembly includes a housing having a threaded inlet for connecting to a water source and a distally located front face with nozzles. The nozzles are connected to the threaded inlet by a central conduit which is closeable by an electronically controlled valve. The valve is controlled by a processor which opens the valve based on temperature and audio signals above a predetermined decibel level.

A NEBULIZER WITH PLUME DETECTION

A nebulizer (1, 102) has a liquid reservoir (3, 112) for supply of liquid to be aerosolized to a first surface of a vibratable aperture plate (41) with apertures having a size in the range of 1 pm to 10 pm. A drive has a piezoelectric annular element on an aperture plate support to cause the aperture plate to vibrate at a drive frequency of 128 kHz to cause droplets to separate from a side of the aperture plate opposed to the reservoir. An outlet conduit (6, 114) is for flow of droplets from the aperture plate. A sensor is arranged with an acoustic transducer in contact with the conduit outer surface to pick up an acoustic signal which is representative of a droplet plume in the conduit, and a processor analyses the signal to provide an output representative of a plume. The monitored acoustic signal frequency band is centred around half of the drive frequency because it takes on average more than one aperture plate cycle to separate a droplet.
