A powder suction and discharge apparatus including a pipe, a container that is coupled to the pipe, a valve that opens and closes a passage of the pipe, and a pressure reducing mechanism that causes an internal space of the container to have negative pressure, in which in a first state in which the valve is open and the pressure reducing mechanism is driven, powder is sucked into the container through the pipe, in a second state in which the valve is closed, the sucked powder is stored in the container, and in a third state in which the valve is open, the stored powder is discharged through the pipe.

An apparatus (1) for dry powder coating a filter (2), comprising: i) a filter holder for holding a filter; ii) an inlet passage (5) for receiving a mixture of dry powder and gas, the inlet passage (5) communicating in use with an inlet face (3) of the filter (2) held by the filter holder; and iii) an outlet passage (6) comprising a first end (31) communicating in use with an outlet face (4) of the filter (2) held by the filter holder and a second end (32) communicating with a vacuum generator (9).

The inlet passage (5) comprises a diffuser (21) , and a divergent portion (22), downstream of the diffuser (21), that is outwardly tapered, or otherwise increases in its area for flow, towards the inlet face (3) of the filter (2).

A component for a gas turbine engine includes an airfoil section including a free end and an abrasive coating sprayed onto the free end, the abrasive coating including a polymer matrix and an abrasive filler, the abrasive filler between about 50%-75% by volume of the abrasive coating.

A powder supply apparatus, comprising a powder receiving device which receives powder, a hopper for storing powder that has an outlet at the bottom thereof, a screw feeder which is provided at the outlet of the hopper, has an extrusion port, and pushes the powder received from the outlet of the hopper toward the extrusion port by a screw. The powder supply apparatus also has a diaphragm pump having a suction port and a discharge port, and discharges air sucked from the suction port to the discharge port by an operation of a diaphragm. An atmospheric passage communicates the suction port of the diaphragm pump with the atmosphere. A communicating passage communicates the discharge port of the diaphragm pump with the powder receiving device. The extrusion port of the screw feeder is positioned within the atmospheric passage so as to supply the powder to the atmospheric passage.

Various embodiments include a cold gas spraying system for generating an adjustable particle jet. The system may include: a nozzle from which the particle jet emerges; a supply device for supplying a particle stream to the nozzle; and one or more actuators operable to reduce the particle stream and/or the particle jet during operation. At least one of the actuators comprises a valve arranged between the supply device and the nozzle.

A system for processing fine powders includes a hopper for dispensing powder material through a hopper outlet, and a feeding chamber positioned downstream of the hopper outlet to receive the powder material and convey the powder material to a plasma torch. The system also includes an auger positioned at the hopper outlet, a mechanical vibrator and a mesh screen attached to a flange of the feeding chamber, and a pneumatic system providing a gas flow sufficient to propel the powder material without extinguishing a plasma of the plasma torch.

A medicine powder delivery device and a medicine bottle thereof and a bottle cap of the medicine bottle are disclosed. The medicine powder delivery device includes a medicine bottle and a gas supply member. The medicine bottle has a bottle body and a bottle cap. The bottle body is filled with a medicine powder. When the bottle body is inverted, the bottle body has an unfilled space that is not filled with the medicine powder. The bottle cap includes a cap body, a medicine delivery tube, and a gas delivery tube. The cap body covers the bottle body. The medicine delivery tube and the gas delivery tube extends into the cap body. The medicine delivery tube communicating with the bottle body the gas delivery tube inserted into the unfilled space of the bottle body. The gas supply member is connected to the gas delivery tube.

A directed energy deposition nozzle assembly including (1) a nozzle configured to dispense material for directed energy deposition, wherein the material comprises one or more of metallic powder, ceramic powder, and glass powder, and wherein (a) the nozzle has an orifice through which the material exits the nozzle, wherein the nozzle comprises an inner body and an outer body that is peripherally disposed around the inner body, and wherein the orifice is defined by a gap between the inner body and the outer body, or (b) the nozzle comprises a plurality of orifices through which the material exits the nozzle, and (2) a vibrator configured to apply a vibration to the nozzle.

The invention provides a pneumatic conveying system having a series of supply lines with at least portions of the lines being wear resistant to extend the useful lifespan of an agricultural product delivery applicator. The wear resistant supply line(s) may be made from a hard material and have a curve(s) defined by angled or mitered segments that are welded or otherwise joined to collectively provide the curve(s) The wear resistant supply lines may be at least partially reinforced by way of, for example, welded or other build up wear resistant material(s) at high wear zones of the supply lines.

Disclosed is a cold spray gun and a cold spray apparatus using the same capable of stably heating a raw material powder to a specific high temperature with an achievement of compactness and lightweight of the apparatus. In order to achieve the above described object, there is provided a cold spray gun configured to form a coating film by spraying a raw material powder carried on a carrier gas from a nozzle outlet by a supersonic flow together with a working gas heated to a temperature equal to or lower than a melting point or a softening point of the raw material powder, and causing the raw material powder to collide with a base material in a solid state, the cold spray gun including; a chamber containing the working gas to be delivered to the nozzle; and is characterized in that a gas heating pipe constituted from a heating resistor which causes resistance heating by being energized is arranged in the chamber, and the working gas flowing into the interior of the gas heating pipe is heated.
