Fluid atomizer, nozzle assembly and methods for assembling and utilizing the same

A method of assembling a nozzle assembly is disclosed. The method includes: providing a nozzle member having a central passage defined by at least an inner side surface and an inner distal surface; inserting a fluid atomizer into the central passage of the nozzle member; and, with a distal surface of the fluid atomizer arranged adjacent the inner distal surface of the nozzle member, flexing legs of the fluid atomizer in a radially-outward direction for engaging each leg of the legs with the inner side surface of the nozzle member. A fluid atomizer is also disclosed. A nozzle assembly is also disclosed. A method of utilizing a nozzle assembly is also disclosed.

RAIN SIMULATION SYSTEM

A rain simulation system that replicates realistic raindrop characteristics for controlled testing is invented. The rain simulation system can be used as a stand-alone system with wind using a blower fan or in a wind tunnel, and without wind to create wind-driven and vertically falling rain droplets, respectively. In addition, methods to simulate rainfall for stationary and moving objects such as a road passenger vehicle are proposed. The rain simulation system is fully adjustable for a range of droplet size, impact velocity, rain intensity, rain coverage via the use of dripping nozzle devices and positioning of system components. The rain simulation system dispenses distinct droplets or continuous streams that can be broken down into droplets by wind. A rain nozzle device is coupled with a rain reservoir, and multiple nozzles are used to create a rain matrix, the full matrix is integrated with a rain rack and rainwater flow control strategy.

CART SPRAYER

A walk from behind, also called a push or cart sprayer having an assembly of wheeled frame and a tank. The frame has a rearward extending handle which enables the assembly to be pushed along a path. The tank has a connected boom assembly including a pivotal boom arm along the front of the tank with a distal spray nozzle, and a mechanism enabling the boom arm to be pivoted to the sides of the tank where the nozzle sprays away from the path, to the side of the path, so that possible toxic or corrosive spraying liquid cannot be stepped upon by the operator pushing the sprayer, thereby enhancing safety of operation. The boom arm is also pivotal to the front of the tank, such as useful when the cart sprayer is towed.

FLUID-PRODUCT DISPENSER

A fluid dispenser comprising:

a reservoir (1);

a dispenser head (T) that is provided with a dispenser orifice (62);

a dip tube (22) that conveys the fluid from the reservoir (1) to the dispenser head (T);

a pusher (6) that is axially movable over a determined stroke;

an electric pump (4) that delivers air into the reservoir (1) so as to force the fluid through the dip tube (22) as far as the dispenser head (T), the electric pump (4) being actuated by the pusher (6); and

a fluid outlet valve (7);

the fluid dispenser being characterized in that:

all of the air coming from the electric pump is delivered into the reservoir;

the electric pump (4) is activated by the pusher (6) as soon as it leaves its high rest position, and the outlet valve (7) is opened only in the proximity of the low depressed position, such that the electric pump (4) is electrically powered well before the outlet valve (7) is opened; and

the electric pump (4) delivers air into the reservoir (1) with an increase in pressure that is less than 1 Bar.
