A deposition apparatus includes deposition sources, a deposition chamber, a mask assembly, and a transfer unit. The mask assembly includes a support member, a shutter member, and a drive member. The support member has a first opening configured to allow the deposition materials to pass through while supporting the base substrate on which the passed-through deposition materials are deposited. The shutter member is accommodated in the support member and has a second opening smaller than the first opening. The drive member is configured to change a position of the second opening with respect to the base substrate in accordance with the movement of the mask assembly.

A system for sealing containers includes a first conveyor of containers to convey containers from an inlet zone to a sealing zone. A first processing station of containers applies a layer of sealing material to at least one end portion of each container. A second processing station polishes the layer of sealing material applied by the first processing station. A first moving unit of containers moves containers from the first conveyor to the first processing station and moves containers with a layer of sealing material from the first processing station to the second processing station. A second conveyor conveys containers from the sealing zone to an outlet zone. A second moving unit moves containers with a layer of sealing material from the second processing station to the second conveyor.

A dispenser for delivering a pourable, edible substance, such as salt, to the exterior surface of a bottle neck provides a body with a closed end and an open end. An interior compartment contains the pourable substance. The closed end has a planar exterior surface for securely positioning the dispenser on a horizontal surface such as a countertop. The open end has a mouth sized to receive the beverage bottle neck. A movable cap is attached to the body or a removable closure assembly.

Some embodiments of the disclosure describe a batch coating apparatus. In some examples, the batch coating apparatus includes a fixing mechanism, a liquid holding mechanism, a liquid injection mechanism and a control device. The fixing mechanism includes a plurality of fixing portions for fixing work-pieces to be coated. The liquid holding mechanism includes a plurality of liquid tanks arranged side by side. The liquid injection mechanism includes a liquid storage portion and an infusion portion. The control device is configured to control at least one of a relative movement between the fixing mechanism and the liquid holding mechanism and a relative movement between the liquid holding mechanism and the liquid injection mechanism. The control device is configured to control the liquid injection mechanism to supply the coating liquid via the infusion portion.

Systems and methods of applying self-seal strips of multiple different adhesives are disclosed. In one embodiment, two spaced apart spoked applicator wheel assemblies are positioned beneath a web of moving shingle stock such that each of the applicator wheels applies dots of different adhesives in an alternating pattern. In other embodiments, a layer of a second adhesive is deposited onto previously applied dots of a first adhesive to form layered adhesive dots with dual properties of both adhesives.
