MODULAR SPRAY ROLLER SYSTEM

A spray roller system for application of architectural paints coating, includes an extension tube, a spray head mounted on a distal end of the extension tube, and the in-line valve with a trigger mounted on a proximal end of the extension tube, and a roller handle removable mounted on the extension tube adjacent the spray head. The spray roller system can spray and back roll a coating on a down stroke and roll on each up stroke. When the roller handle is removed from the extension tube, it can be used to hand roll sensitive wall areas. With the roller handle removed, extension tube, spray head, and in-line valve can be used as a spray extension to apply coatings in hard to reach areas.

Paint brush and a clamping and locating device used in the same

A paint brush and a clamping and locating device used in the same are provided. The clamping and locating device comprises a base, a handle and a lock button. The base includes a mounting surface, a handle-retaining cavity and at least one boss. The handle has a head portion being held in the handle-retaining cavity. The head portion includes at least one mounting hole, a button-receiving recess and a sliding groove. The button-receiving recess is divided into a first position and a second position. The mounting hole and the boss are axially mated together to make the handle be pivotally mounted in the handle-retaining cavity. The lock button is mounted in the button-receiving recess, and can be switched between the first position and the second position, so the handle is capable of being positioned on the first position and the second position.

Paint roller system

The present invention is a paint roller system comprising a frame, a paint roller that may be supported by the frame. The frame may not include any moving parts. The paint roller may have end caps incorporated therein or connected thereto that may prevent liquids from entering the paint roller. The paint roller system of the present invention may be configured to prevent paint becoming lodged in elements of the paint roller system, and to prevent corrosion or plugging. The paint roller may rotate substantially freely when positioned within the frame. The paint roller system may be utilized to adhere paint to a surface with minimal effort or force being applied by a user. The paint roller system may include a paint roller container operable for storage of a paint roller as well as engagement and disengagement of the paint roller from the frame without the user handling the paint roller directly.

METHODS OF AND SYSTEMS FOR FORMING COATINGS THAT COMPRISE NON-CARBON-BASED TOPOLOGICAL INSULATORS

A method of forming a coating can include: preparing a substrate surface with adherent characteristics; and/or applying at least one non-carbon-based topological insulator to the substrate surface to provide a topological insulator layer on the substrate surface. The at least one non-carbon-based topological insulator can have one or more of selected optical transmittance, selected thermal conductivity, selected electrical conductivity, or selected electrical resistivity.

Paint roller frame

A roller frame is for use with a roller. The roller frame includes a base component, and first and second supporting components operatively projecting from the base component. Each supporting component has a mounting cap for receiving a corresponding distal end of the roller. The first and second supporting components are angularly adjustable with respect to the base component via a tightening assembly for allowing the roller to be selectively positioned at different angles with respect to the base component of the roller frame.

PAINT ROLLER FRAME AND CAGE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING

A paint roller frame and cage assembly and method of manufacturing includes providing an assembly having a handle and a shaft extending from the handle, and forming a unitary cage having a radially outward surface for supporting a roller cover. The cage includes a first cavity located at an end of the cage proximate the handle and a second cavity located at an opposite end of the cage. Each cavity is defined within the radially outward surface and has a radially opening slot. A cover retainer is receivable through a first slot and into the first cavity. The cover retainer includes radially extending fingers that extend through the slot to engage an inner diameter of the roller cover and secure the cover to the cage. A fastener is receivable through a second slot and into the second cavity to hold the cage on the shaft.

An adjustable paint roller assembly for facilitating ease of painting includes a frame that is complementary to and reversibly couplable to a tubular core of a roller cover. A first arm is coupled to and extends angularly from a first end of the frame. A distal section of the first arm is positioned substantially parallel to the frame. A terminus of the first arm is positioned substantially equally distant from a second end and the first end of the frame. A second arm is pivotally coupled to the first arm and extends from the terminus. A selector is coupled to the first arm and the second arm. The selector is positioned to position the second arm perpendicular to the distal section. The selector also is positioned to position the second arm linearly with the distal section.
