Slurry formulation for the formation of layers for solid state batteries
Disclosed are electrochemical devices, such as lithium ion battery electrodes, lithium ion conducting solid-state electrolytes, and solid-state lithium ion batteries including these electrodes and solid-state electrolytes. Also disclosed are methods for making such electrochemical devices.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING WATER-INSOLUBLE QUANTUM DOT PATTERNS
The present invention relates to a method for producing water-insoluble quantum dot patterns on and/or within a substrate. The method comprises a step of depositing a deliquescent salt, quantum dots and an acid or salt thereof onto at least one surface region of a substrate such that the deliquescent salt, the quantum dots and the acid or salt thereof are at least partially contacted to form said at least one water-insoluble pattern.
Antifog polyester lidding film for CPET trays
The present disclosure is directed to peelable, heat-sealable lidding films for containers of diverse polymer compositions storing various products such as foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals. The lidding films disclosed herein can be heat-sealed to crystalline polyester trays (CPET), easily peeled, and contain improved antifogging performance by incorporating a non-migratory antifogging additive into the heat sealable layer of the film without deteriorating seal strengths.
METHOD FOR COATING A MATERIAL WEB
A method for coating a material web (2), in particular a fibrous web, by way of a coating device. The coating device (1) has an application unit (3) for applying a coating medium to the material web. The application unit is arranged in the interior of an enclosure (4), which has first opening for the entry of the material web and a second opening for the exiting of the material web. In the interior of the enclosure there is produced a positive pressure greater than the ambient pressure outside the enclosure during the coating so that air flows from the interior of the enclosure to the outside (5b) of the enclosure through the first opening and/or the second opening.
Display inserts, overlays, and graphical user interfaces for multimedia systems
A disclosed digital media device operational at user premises to receive media signals from a media source for presentation via endpoint devices such as a television display. The digital media device can include gateway and digital media management functionality and can be referred to as a gateway and digital media device. The device offers application services obtained over a wide area network and a user premises network. The digital media device may form a composite signal from the media signal and application service information, for example, for a composite audio and/or video signal for television type presentation to the user. The digital media device may receive a selection signal based on the presentation, for transmission to the application service provider device or to the media source. The media device also offers a GUI presenting a moveable arrangement of icons for selectively accessing application services.
FIRE BARRIER BUILDING PRODUCT AND METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MAKING SAME
Methods and processes for depositing a fire resistant barrier on a construction material involve coating exposed webbing of, for instance, an I-joist with a fire-resistant material using a wetting layer and a thickening layer. A time period between depositing the wetting layer and thickening layer is controlled to facilitate complete wetting of the exposed webbing. Filler such as fiberglass may be included in the thickening layer. The wetting and thickening layers may be deposited on the webbing in the same application. The construction material, such as the I-joist, may then be subjected to a curing treatment and additional curing period followed by coating the second side using a similar methodology.
Progressively releasable implantable adjunct for use with a surgical stapling instrument
A staple cartridge assembly is disclosed comprising, one, a plurality of staples removably stored within a surgical staple cartridge and, two, an implantable adjunct. The implantable adjunct is configured to be progressively released from the surgical staple cartridge during a firing progression of a firing assembly configured to travel through the surgical staple cartridge.
Dispenser Device for Applying Structural Adhesive and A Method Using Such A Dispenser Device
This invention relates to a dispenser device for and a method of applying a structural adhesive to an application surface on a wind turbine blade structure, wherein the dispenser device comprises a housing forming a reservoir configured to hold a surplus of structural adhesive during dispensing. The reservoir is connected to an inlet for supplying the structural adhesive and an outlet for dispensing the structural adhesive. The outlet may be a side opening arranged in an exchangeable housing part. The dispenser device may also comprise an adjustable mechanism connected to a plate member configured to be moved relative to the side opening. The operation of the adjustable mechanism is controlled via a control unit or a control element. The exchangeable housing part or adjustable mechanism enables the cross-sectional profile, the width and/or the height of the dispensed structural adhesive to be changed before or during dispensing.
Methods of applying active components
Method for applying an active component comprising providing a composition comprising: (a) at least one active component selected from a lubricating agent, an insecticidal agent, and an herbicidal agent; and (b) a carrier in an amount effective to solvate or emulsify said active component, said carrier comprising a monochlorotrifluoropropene; and removing the carrier from the composition.
