Process for powder coating of objects
In a powder coating process, a primer step is implemented prior to electrostatically applying the powder coating, either in advance of preheating the object to be coated or subsequent thereto, depending upon the selection of materials used in the object to be coated, the primer material being diluted fabric softener applied in a fine mist spray or fog to the object.
PRODUCT WITH PROTECTIVE COATING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The application provides a product with a protective coating and a manufacturing method thereof. Prepare a first precursor dispersion comprising a first active organic precursor, and the first active organic precursor is a fluorine-free monomer. Prepare a second precursor dispersion comprising a second active organic precursor, and the second active organic precursor is a fluorine-containing monomer. Apply the first precursor dispersion to a product body, and dry the applied first precursor dispersion to form a first dried layer. Apply the second precursor dispersion to the first dried layer to cover the first dried layer, and dry the applied second precursor dispersion to form a second dried layer, so that the first active organic precursor and the second active organic precursor are polymerized to obtain a product with a protective coating.
Hyperbright white roofing granules with high solar reflectance
The invention provides a bright white refractory roofing granule, comprising a ceramic material formed from a substantially homogenous mixture of a ceramic-forming clay, sintering material, and optionally comprising silica particles, and other potential additives, said bright white refractory roofing granule having a total solar reflectance of at least 0.80 and a Hunter Color Lvalue of at least 85.0, together with processes for making and using the same.
Coated Substrates and Methods of Preparing the Same
The present invention relates to a substrate having (a) a first material applied to at least a portion of the substrate, and (b) a coating layer deposited from a powder coating composition including a film-forming resin, and optionally a crosslinker that is reactive with the film-forming resin, in direct contact with at least a portion of the substrate to which the first material has been applied. The first material is (i) a catalyst that catalyzes cure of the powder coating composition, (ii) a component reactive with the film-forming resin and/or the crosslinker of the powder coating composition, and/or (iii) a rheology modifier.
Method and apparatus for applying a material onto articles with a pre-distorted transfer component
Apparatuses and methods for applying a transfer material onto the surface of an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of transfer printing on and/or decorating three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles printed and/or decorated thereby. In some cases, the apparatuses and methods involve providing a deposition device, such as a printing device; providing a transfer component; depositing a material onto a portion of the transfer component with the deposition device; modifying the portion of the transfer component with the transfer material thereon to conform the transfer component to at least a portion of the surface of the three-dimensional article; and transferring the transfer material onto the surface of the article.
Substrate including nano/micro structure, method for manufacturing the same, method for refining nano/micro structure, method for manufacturing nano/micro structure network, and manufacturing apparatus therefor
Provided is a manufacturing method for a substrate having a microstructure. The manufacturing method for a substrate having a microstructure comprises the steps of: forming a microstructure on the upper surface of an auxiliary substrate; coating a base solution on the microstructure; forming a base substrate covering the microstructure by heattreating the base solution; and removing the auxiliary substrate from the base substrate.
Implantable sealable member with mesh layer
The provided technologies provide an implant closure device having a mesh layer formed on a flexible substrate, collectively forming a sealable member, that improves a seal formed over an aperture in a body lumen. The mesh facilitates a faster and more secure adherence of the sealable member to the surrounding edges at the puncture site. Furthermore, the provided technology may promote platelet-capture and encourage localized platelet aggregation at the exposed collagen in the wound edges on the mesh layer. The platelet impregnated mesh layer can facilitate cellular adhesion, enabling the sealable member that is local to the wound opening to act, in essence, as a “biological glue.”
Method and apparatus for producing a decorative surface
A method for producing a decorative surface having different gloss levels preferably comprising the following steps: (C) feeding of a workpiece (1.0), which is coated with at least a first lacquer layer (1.4) to a digital printing station; (D) provision of digital control data for the digital printing station; (E) digital spraying of droplets on partial areas of the first lacquer layer (1.4) on the workpiece (1.0) with an at least partially transparent lacquer in order to apply a second lacquer layer (1.5) on the first lacquer layer (1.4), wherein after curing the second lacquer layer (1.5) has a different gloss level than the first lacquer layer (1.4). Further disclosed is an apparatus for carrying out this method.
PROCESSABILITY OF POLYMERIC SUBSTRATES AND RELATED METHODS
The invention discloses a method for adhering a metal layer to a polymer substrate and device manufacture therefrom. The metal layer is deposited on a sacrificial substrate of a mold to form part of an interior surface of the mold, and a solution of monomers is deposited on the metal layer. The monomers are then polymerized together to form the polymer substrate on the metal layer. Then the polymer substrate is removed from the mold such that the metal layer is removed from the mold and adhered to the polymer substrate.
