AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION AND PROCESS OF MAKING THE SAME
An aqueous coating composition capable of providing coating films with balanced properties of low gloss and high clarity.
FORMING A SURFACE LAYER ON A CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE ARTICLE
The disclosure describes techniques for infiltrating a CMC substrate with a first slurry to at least partially fill at least some inner spaces of the CMC substrate, where the first slurry comprises first solid particles, drying the first slurry to form an infiltrated CMC including the first solid particles, depositing a second slurry including a carrier material and second solid particles on a surface of the infiltrated CMC, where the second solid particles comprise a plurality of fine ceramic particles, a plurality of coarse ceramic particles, and a plurality of diamond particles, drying the second slurry to form an article having an outer surface layer comprising the second solid particles on the infiltrated CMC, and infiltrating the article with a molten infiltrant to form a composite article.
BLOCK COPOLYMER
The present application relates to a block copolymer and its use. The present application can provides a block copolymer that has an excellent self assembling property or phase separation property and therefore can be used in various applications and its use.
Techniques to improve polyurethane membranes for implantable glucose sensors
The invention provides an implantable membrane for regulating the transport of analytes therethrough that includes a matrix including a first polymer; and a second polymer dispersed throughout the matrix, wherein the second polymer forms a network of microdomains which when hydrated are not observable using photomicroscopy at 400× magnification or less. In one aspect, the homogeneous membrane of the present invention has hydrophilic domains dispersed substantially throughout a hydrophobic matrix to provide an optimum balance between oxygen and glucose transport to an electrochemical glucose sensor.
ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
An electric component comprising a terminal electrode and a hot-melt polymer layer formed on the terminal electrode, wherein the hot-melt polymer layer comprises (i) 100 parts by weight of a metal powder and (ii) 1 to 30 parts by weight of a polymer, wherein melt mass-flow rate (MFR) of the polymer is 0.5 to 20 g/10 min. at 120 to 200° C. and 0.3 to 8 kgf.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLDED FILTER BODY
The purpose is to produce a molded filter body using graphene having water passage holes with a desired size by an easy process.
A method for producing a molded filter body having a layer of graphene 2 as a filter medium, includes the steps of: forming a layer of a support 5 on a surface of graphite 1; forming support water passage holes in the layer of the support 5; peeling the layer of the support 5 from the graphite 1 in a state of attaching the layer of graphene 2 on the surface of the graphite 1 to the layer of the support 5; and holding the layer of graphene 2 by heating at a low temperature for a predetermined time in the air containing oxygen at 160 to 250° C. and forming graphene water passage holes.
BLOCK COPOLYMER
The present application relates to a block copolymer and its use. The present application can provides a block copolymer that has an excellent self assembling property or phase separation property and therefore can be used in various applications and its use.
BLOCK COPOLYMER
The present application relates to a block copolymer and uses thereof. The present application can provide a block copolymer—which exhibits an excellent self-assembling property and thus can be used effectively in a variety of applications—and uses thereof.
Flexible translucent to transparent fireproof composite material
A fireproof, translucent, flexible coated fabric composite material for use in fire curtains. The composite material meets or exceeds regulatory requirements in terms of fire endurance and allows transmissivity of necessary amounts of light. The process of the present disclosure combines a silica fabric with a special refractory index controlled resin. This unique combination of materials can transform an opaque high temperature fabric into a translucent, and even transparent, composite which as the ability to resist high temperature, flame and smoke penetration that fills a needed gap in technology between visibility and fire resistance in the field of fire and smoke curtains used in civil construction.
LIQUID COATING COMPOSITIONS, PROCESSES FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a liquid coating composition comprising i) at least one inorganic binder of the generic formula Si.sub.aR.sup.1.sub.bO.sub.c(OR.sup.2).sub.d with a≧2, b≧0, c≧1, d≧5 and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2=organic radical, ii) at least one solvent and iii) at least one oxide pigment which, after addition of a mixture consisting of 15 ml of 1 M oxalic acid and 15 ml of 20% aqueous hydrochloric acid, based on 1 g of substance, under standard conditions, leads to a temperature rise of at least 4° C., to processes for preparation thereof and to the use thereof.
