Structure body, sensor, and method for producing structure body
A structure body includes a base material and a siloxane based molecular membrane formed on the base material by use of an organic compound represented by Formula (1) or Formula (2): ##STR00001##
wherein any one of R1 to R5 is an amino group, others of R1 to R5 are each independently hydrogen or an alkyl group, R7 to R9 are each independently any one of hydroxy group, alkoxy group, alkyl group, and phenyl group on condition that one or more of R7 to R9 are each independently a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group, and R6 is an alkyl group.
Tunable optical device configurations and packaging
According to various embodiments, a cover is sealed over a metasurface on a substrate to create a sealed chamber. Liquid crystal, or another tunable refractive index dielectric material, is positioned within the sealed chamber around optical structures of the metasurface before or after the cover is sealed. For example, the liquid crystal may be injected through small vias or holes to fill a sealed chamber. In some embodiments, a glass cover is shaped or patterned with photoresist to protrude into the sealed chamber to reduce the thickness of the liquid crystal used to fill the sealed chamber. A driver to control the metasurface may be, for example, integrated within the substrate, be attached to exposed bond pads of the metasurface, and/or be embodied as a control layer connected to the metasurface through the substrate by through-substrate vias (TSVs).
CURE PROMOTER COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE SAME
A cure promoter composition is disclosed, including an accelerator which may include a thiocarbamate, a hydrated thiocarbamate, a dithiocarbamate, a thiazole, a mercaptothiazole, a sulfenamide, a thiazolesulfenamide, a metal salt of thiocarbamate, sulfur chloride, or combinations thereof. The cure promoter composition also includes a compatibilizing carrier, one or more organic solvents, a catalyst, an optional reducing agent, an optional reactive silane, an optional reactive organometallic, an optional gelling agent, and an optional aqueous component. A method for applying the cure promoter composition is disclosed, including contacting the organic solvents, the accelerator, the carrier, the reactive silanes, the reactive organometallics, the reducing agents, and the catalyst with one another to prepare the cure promoter composition, homogenizing the cure promoter composition, pausing after homogenizing to allow the cure promoter time to react, applying a sealant onto a substrate, and applying the cure promoter composition to a surface of the sealant.
METAL COATING METHOD
The present invention aims to provide a metal coating method whereby a paint can be applied directly, easily, with high adhesion, and with cost increases suppressed, to the surface of titanium and other metals that have a hard passivated coating on the surface thereof. This method uses paint to coat a metal that has the surface thereof coated in a passivated coating and comprises: an etching step in which the passivated coating is removed using an etching solution and the surface is exposed; a diluent coating step in which, after the etching step, a diluent capable of diluting the paint is coated on the surface that is in a liquid-coated state; and a painting step in which the surface is coated in paint after the diluent coating step.
ECO-FRIENDLY HYDROPHOBIC OR ULTRAHYDROPHOBIC COATING METHOD
The present invention relates to an eco-friendly and simple super-hydrophobic coating method that does not use harmful substances and special equipment. Coating according to the present invention may be performed as a single process without special equipment, and because only eco-friendly materials are used, the coating material may be easily used and discarded. In addition, even a three-dimensional pipe or a heat-exchanger having a complex shape may be modified to have super-hydrophobicity by applying the present coating, and a super-hydrophobic metal filter may be manufactured and used for oil-water separation. As a result, the present coating method is eco-friendly, simple, and applicable to various substrates, so it has great potential for application in various industries.
Antifouling article
The present embodiments relate to an antifouling article comprising polyurethane and medetomidine, or an enantiomer or salt thereof, from 0.1% by weight of the antifouling article and present in a polymer matrix of the polyurethane.
Hydrophilic lubricating coating for medical catheters and its preparation method
The invention discloses a photocured medical catheter hydrophilic lubricating coating and a preparation method thereof. The hydrophilic lubricating coating comprises a primer coating and a lubricating coating. The primer coating is attached to the surface of a device, and the lubricating coating is attached to the primer coating. The primer coating comprises 1-10 parts by weight of one or more polyester acrylates, 50-90 parts by weight of one or more solvents, 0.5-5 parts by weight of one or more photoinitiators, 0.5-2 parts by weight of one or more wetting agents and 0.5-5 parts by weight of one or more reactive (or active) diluents. The lubricating coating comprises 1-10 parts by weight of one or more water soluble macromolecules, 1-5 parts by weight of one or more crosslinking (or crosslinked) macromolecules, 0-1 part by weight of one or more photoinitiators, 0.1-1 part by weight of one or more surfactants and 50-98 parts by weight of one or more solvents. The preparation method of the hydrophilic lubricating coating is simple and easy in operation. Substance residues caused by complicated high-temperature chemical reactions are avoided. The cured coating forms a crosslinking (or crosslinked) structure, has good adhesion on the surface of a medical catheter and has excellent and lasting lubricity in an aqueous medium. The friction coefficient of the surface of the medical catheter is reduced. Harm to human tissues and adhesion of macromolecules in blood are decreased.
