DISC TOOL, AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT COMPRISING SUCH A DISC TOOL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DISC TOOL

The document discloses a disc tool (1) for breaking up field residues, comprising a central hub portion (10), which is designed for mounting the disc in a tool holder in order to make the disc rotatable about a rotation axis (Ar), a cultivating portion (11), which is located radially outside of and adjoins the hub portion (10), and a plurality of substantially straight cutting edges (E1, E2) which are located at the periphery of the disc tool. The cultivating portion (11) has a plurality of undulations (111, 112) which, with an axial extent decreasing toward the inside, run from the cutting edges (E1, E2) to the hub portion (10). The cutting edge (LE1, E2) is designed such that 90-98% of a track formed by the cutting edge consists of straight track portions.

The document further discloses an agricultural implement with such disc tools, the use of such an agricultural implement, and a method for manufacturing such a disc tool.

A disk blade has an outer perimeter, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a central hub. A plurality of fingers extend laterally at an angle from said first side wall. The fingers preferably comprise metal round bars curved to form part of an elliptical geometry inserted at a perpendicular angle to a vertical angle of said disk blade. The bars are arranged at locations equidistant around said disk blade and are disposed at a depth x from said outer perimeter of said disk blade. Preferably, the depth x is at least one (1) inch.

Seeding boot with dry and liquid fertilizer distributors

A seeding boot, for a seeding apparatus mountable on a tyne, or adjacent a soil-opening disc, of a tillage implement, has a hollow boot body mountable adjacent the lower end of the tyne or lower portion of the soil-opening disc. A seed distributor in the boot body has a seed inlet connectable to a source of seeds; at least one seed outlet spaced laterally from the tyne or soil-opening disc; and at least one fertilizer or chemical distributor located rearwardly of the tyne or the soil-opening disc. The seed outlet(s) are provided at, or adjacent, the distal ends of laterally-extending hollow wings, which extend from the seed distributor. When two fertilizer or chemical distributors are provided, the first distributor is connected to dry or granular fertilizer; while the second distributor is connected to liquid fertilizer or chemical(s); the outlet from the second distributor is located intermediate the tyne or soil-opening disc and the outlet from the first distributor; and the outlets of the first and second distributors are at a reduced depth in the soil relative to the seed outlet(s).
