APPARATUS FOR EMPTYING BAGS CONTAINING LOOSE MATERIAL
An apparatus for emptying bags containing loose material. The apparatus comprises a cutting member for cutting the bags and a support grid including a row of rods arranged downstream of the cutting member and onto which the bags are carried once they have been cut. The rods are associated with a motovibrator designed to cause the rods to vibrate, facilitating the emptying of the bags. Furthermore, a resilient spacer is interposed between each pair of adjacent rods.
Adjusting particle size in fluorocarbon nanoemulsions
The invention provides devices and methods for adjusting particle size in nanoemulsions of fluorocarbons and perfluorocarbons (e.g., perfluoropentane and perfluorohexane) via sonication (e.g., ultrasonication).

Amplitude-modulating vibrator for predictive maintenance modeling
A vibration device for generating various vibration signatures or characteristics is provided. This various vibration signatures or characteristics allow a single vibration device to be used to test and replicate failures in a subject device across a broad range of vibration signatures or characteristics transferring to the subject device. The vibration devices includes a pair of spaced-apart plates, each defining a slot therein. An adjustable fastener connects the upper and lower plates and extends through the upper and lower elongated slots. A vibrator is fastened to the upper plate via the upper elongated slot. To enable the vibration signatures or characteristics to be varied, the fastener is adjustable in a vertical direction to alter the distance between the lower plate and the upper plate, and is adjustable in a horizontal direction along the upper and lower slots. The motor can also translate along the upper elongated slot.
Resonance enhanced rotary drilling actuator
Provided is a device for converting rotary motion into oscillatory axial motion, which device comprises: (a) a rotation element (1); (b) a base element (2); and (c) one or more bearings (3) for facilitating rotary motion of the rotation element relative to the base element;
wherein the rotation element and/or the base element comprise one or more raised portions (4) and/or one or more lowered portions (5) over which portions the one or more bearings (3) pass in order to periodically increase and decrease axial distance between the rotation element (1) and the base element (2) as rotation occurs, thereby imparting an oscillatory axial motion to the rotation element (1) relative to the base element (2).

DEVICE FOR NON-CONTACT OBJECT HANDLING
A non-contact handling tool (8) for picking up an object (3), the tool comprising an ultrasonic transducer (10) extending between a reflective side and a picking side configured to emit ultrasounds forming, in a near field area of the picking side, an excess-pressure wave, and a fluid suction system configured to suction a fluid towards the picking side, forming in said near field area an under-pressure. The fluid suction system comprises at least a fluid suction channel (30) disposed in the ultrasonic transducer. The transducer has a height defined between the picking side and the reflective side corresponding to a half wavelength of the ultrasounds generated in the transducer.
Ultrasonic device, ultrasonic module, and ultrasonic measurement apparatus
An ultrasonic device includes an ultrasonic transducer that has a vibration film and transmits an ultrasonic wave from a first surface side of the vibration film, an acoustic matching layer that is provided on the first surface side of the vibration film, and an acoustic lens that is provided on the acoustic matching layer on an opposite side to the vibration film, in which the acoustic matching layer is formed of even-numbered layers including a first layer and a second layer having acoustic impedance lower than acoustic impedance of each of the first layer and the acoustic lens, and the first layer and the second layer are disposed in this order toward the acoustic lens from the vibration film, and in which each of the first layer and the second layer has a thickness corresponding to an odd-numbered multiple of /4 with a wavelength of the ultrasonic wave as .

Systems including vibration systems for filling incomplete components with slurry material
Vibration systems and systems including vibration systems for filling incomplete components with slurry material are disclosed. The vibration systems may include a vibration platform, and a component retention plate releasably coupled to the vibration platform. The component retention plate may include a plurality of component holders positioned on the component retention plate. Each of the plurality of component holders may receive a distinct, incomplete component in a predetermined orientation. The vibration systems may also include a motor operatively coupled to the vibration platform to vibrate the vibration platform at a predetermined frequency. The predetermined frequency may be based on characteristic(s) of each of the incomplete components.
