OPTICAL CONNECTOR CLEANING TOOL
An object is to provide an optical connector cleaning tool capable of simultaneously and appropriately cleaning an end surface and a side surface of a ferrule of an optical connector plug. The optical connector cleaning tool according to the present invention includes an end surface cleaning section including a cleaning sheet for cleaning a ferrule end surface of an optical connector plug, a side surface cleaning section including a cleaning thread bundle (or cleaning sheet) for cleaning a ferrule side surface of the optical connector plug, and a mechanism that reveals a new cleaning sheet and a new cleaning thread bundle (or cleaning sheet) at a predetermined position after each cleaning operation.
CLEANING NOZZLES AND METHODS FOR OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTORS OR ADAPTERS
A cleaning nozzle includes an inner nozzle housing having a feed passage for carrying cleaning fluid, a plurality of nozzle tips that each define a discharge opening in fluid communication with the feed passage, and an outer nozzle housing received over the inner nozzle housing. The outer nozzle housing includes a plurality of outer nozzle extensions that each extend over one of the nozzle tips. The outer nozzle extensions can be inserted into ports of an adapter, and flow of the cleaning fluid through the nozzle is split between the nozzle tips so that multiple optical connectors that populate the adapter can be cleaned simultaneously in a substantially uniform manner.
CLEANING TOOL AND ADHESIVE BODY
A cleaning tool that cleans an optical connector includes an adhesive body that contacts an optical signal region of the optical connector where an optical signal enters and is emitted from the optical connector. The adhesive body includes a protrusion that protrudes in a regionthat contacts the optical signal region.
VISUAL INSPECTOR ATTACHMENT FOR FIBER CONNECTOR CLEANERS
Various implementations of visual inspector attachments for fiber connector cleaners are disclosed. The example fiber optic inspection module includes a camera to capture an image of an end-face, a light source to illuminate the end-face, and a first mirror that reflects light from the light source to the end-face and includes a fixed point that allows the first mirror to pivot. Alternatively, an example fiber optic inspection module includes a camera to capture an image of an end-face, a light source to illuminate the end-face, and a first mirror that reflects light from the light source to the end-face and the first mirror moves in an upward direction.
INTEGRATED PIN AND SOCKET FIBER OPTIC CLEANER TIP
A cleaning module adapted to clean a socket style ferrule or a pin style ferrule of a connector includes a tip assembly extending from a housing comprising a tip adapted to receive a cleaning media. A retractable alignment sleeve sized to surround the pin style ferrule has a larger outer diameter than an inner diameter of a socket opening and moves along the tip assembly when the first end presses against a surface of the connector. A sleeve spring engages with a portion of the tip assembly and a first end of the retractable alignment sleeve. The tip assembly includes a block movably secured within a portion of the housing. A main spring may be engaged with the housing and engaged with an end portion of the block, wherein the sleeve spring has both a spring constant and total compressive force that are lower than that of the main spring.
CLEANING TOOL FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR
A cleaning tool for cleaning an optical connector includes: a head that presses a cleaning unit against the optical connector; a supply reel that supplies the cleaning unit to the head; and a take-up reel that collects the cleaning unit from the head. The supply reel and the take-up reel are disposed rotatably about a common rotation shaft.
Optical connector cleaning tool and method of cleaning optical connector
An optical connector cleaning tool includes: a tool body; and an extension that moves relatively with respect to the tool body. The extension extends out of the tool body and includes a head that presses a cleaning element formed with a tape-like adhesive element onto an optical connector. A relative movement of the extension with respect to the tool body carries the cleaning element to the head, and after carrying the cleaning element to the head, enables the cleaning element to contact the optical connector.
CLEANING TOOL AND CLEANING METHOD
A cleaning tool includes: a first tape including an adhesive surface; a head around which the first tape is wrapped and that presses the adhesive surface against an object; a feeder that transports the first tape and a second tape in contact with the adhesive surface; and a separator that separates the first tape from the second tape during transportation of the first tape to the head.
Cleaning device for optical fibers
A means of integrating the materials and automating the actions required for the cleaning of optical fiber, where the present invention can hold cleaning material, dispense cleaning agent, and clean multiple fibers, while routing conduits and cleaning pads protect the optical fiber from mechanical stress.
Optical connector cleaning tool and optical connector cleaning tool attachment
An optical connector cleaning tool includes a fitting portion (44) fitted in the first or second hole (36, 37) of a connection component (32) into which a compact dual core optical connector is fitted on one end side and a cleaning medium (45) projecting from the fitting portion (44). The fitting portion (44) is formed to have a shape by which the fitting portion (44) is fitted in the first or second hole (36, 37) in each of the first and second postures as postures shifted through 180 with respect to as the center the middle (P2) of a virtual straight line connecting the centers of the two ferrules when viewed from an axial direction of the compact dual core optical connector. The fitting portion (44) contacts one ferrule in a state in which the fitting portion (44) is set in the first posture. The fitting portion (44) contacts the other ferrule in a state in which the fitting portion (44) is set in the second posture. There can be provided an optical connector cleaning tool by which the connection end faces of the compact dual core optical connector having two ferrules in one housing can be cleaned.
