SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RECYCLING POST-CONSUMER POLYESTER-BASED FABRIC
Methods for recycling post-consume polyester-based fabric materials such as hospital linens. The methods include decontaminating a post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) product and polymerizing the decontaminated PET product via solid state polymerization to generate a polymerized PET product. The post-consumer PET product can comprise a polyester-based fabric.
Blister pack disposal system
Compositions comprising a blister pack, a container dimensioned to hold the blister pack and a pharmacological agent activity mitigation component are provided. Also provided are methods of making and using the compositions.
SMART PORTABLE DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR DISPOSAL OF SANITARY WASTE
The invention discloses a safe, cost effective, portable, eco-friendly sanitary pads disposing device and system. The device is smart and automatic used for shredding and disinfecting the used sanitary pads without any environmental pollution. The system comprises of plurality of collection bins, sanitary pad disposal device, a data acquisition module, a remote server, a data transmission module etc. for remotely monitoring the status of each disposal process.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CANNABIS WASTE DISPOSAL
Systems and methods for rendering cannabis-related waste materials are provided. The method may include inserting a plurality of cannabis-related waste materials into, for example, a mobile rendering vehicle. The method may further include physically altering the cannabis-related waste materials such that the cannabis-related waste materials are unrecognizable and unusable. The insertion of the cannabis-related waste materials into the mobile rendering vehicle may be recorded and/or the physical alteration (e.g., pulverization) of the cannabis-related waste materials may be recorded via one or more cameras disposed on the mobile rendering vehicle to verify proper insertion and/or alteration of the cannabis-related waste materials.
Pharmaceutical waste disposal assembly
A pharmaceutical waste disposal assembly includes a fluid receiver body for receiving fluid pharmaceutical waste, said fluid receiver body may comprise a material that is clear, opaque, or otherwise see-through and having a capacity. The assembly also includes a first reaction agent positioned within the fluid receiver body, the fluid pharmaceutical waste contacting the first reaction agent to change the fluid pharmaceutical waste in one of a chemical and physical manner so that the fluid pharmaceutical waste is rendered unrecoverable. The assembly also includes a fluid absorber positioned within said fluid receiver body, said fluid absorber configured to absorb and retain fluid pharmaceutical waste deposited in said fluid receiver body. The assembly also includes a moisture-sensitive visual indicator that changes color when fluid pharmaceutical waste deposited in said fluid receiver body has reached a predetermined percentage of said capacity of said fluid receiver body.
Pharmaceutical Waste System
The present disclosure provides a method of disposing of a residual pharmaceutical composition from an IV bag. The method of disposing also includes coupling the IV bag to a pharmaceutical dispenser coupler. The disposing also includes extracting at least a portion of the residual pharmaceutical composition from the IV bag through the pharmaceutical dispenser coupler. The disposing also includes treating at least a portion of the extracted pharmaceutical composition in one of a chemical and physical manner.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTE CONTROL OF DECONTAMINATION OF MEDICAL WASTE
A method for remote control of decontamination of medical waste in an apparatus includes receiving, by a server via a first network interface and from the apparatus via a second network interface, a plurality of signals, the plurality of signals comprising operation data of the apparatus generated while the apparatus performs medical waste decontamination cycles in a first configuration; analyzing, by the server, the plurality of signals according to an operation policy; selecting, by the server, a first signal based on the analyzing the plurality of signals; and adjusting, by the server, operation of the apparatus by transmitting, via the first network interface, instructions to the second network interface of the apparatus, the instructions comprising the first signal, wherein receipt of the instructions causes the apparatus to perform a medical waste decontamination cycle in a second configuration different from the first configuration.
Method of Disposing of Waste Receiver, Waste Receiver for Pharmaceutical Waste and Method of Assembling the Waste Receiver
A waste disposal system (30) with a waste receiver (32) for receiving pharmaceutical waste material. A locking assembly (34) is secured to a fixed surface and actuated from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration. A lock cylinder of the locking assembly may extend forward of a front wall (44) of a receiver body (36) of the waste receiver to engage a locking feature of a cover (82) in the locked configuration. A cover retention feature (124) may prevent axial decoupling of the cover from the receiver body. The receiver body may be formed from two shells (62,64). A reaction agent (150) is positioned within the container volume and spaced apart from a bottom wall of the receiver body. The reaction agent may be positioned within the container volume between the lock passageway (94) and/or a solid receiver volume, and opposing sidewalls of the receiver body. A support may maintain the position of the reaction agent within the container volume.
System for solidification of pharmaceutical waste
The invention includes a system for solidification of pharmaceutical wastes. The system may be for use in connection with a container serving as the medication bottle. The system includes an absorbent composition including a plurality of surface cross-linked superabsorbent particles. Additionally, a soluble packet may be included so that the absorbent composition is released upon dissolution of the packet and medication is rendered unavailable. The invention also includes a method of solidifying pharmaceutical waste.
Metal Detection System For Use With Medical Waste Container
A system for detecting disposal of metallic objects into an opening of a medical waste container, including: an indicator for indicating passage of metallic objects through the opening, a pair of receive coils and a transmit coil spaced therebetween shaped for receiving waste therethrough adjacent to the opening, and a controller in electrical communication with the coils. The controller generates and communicates a transmit signal to the transmit coil, which generates a magnetic field that induces voltage in each of the receive coils, which each generate a receive signal. The controller generates a waveform based on the receive signals with a baseline corresponding to absence of metallic objects, and analyzes the waveform with respect to opposite first and second thresholds. The controller activates the indicator in response to metallic objects passing through the coils when the waveform first exceeds the first threshold and then subsequently exceeds the second threshold.
