A puncturing device for pressurized containers comprises an elongated housing member defining an elongated cavity with openings at first and second ends thereof for receiving an inverted pressurized container at the first end, the housing member including an attachment member for securing the second end of the housing member to a collection receptacle. A non-sparking puncturing member, is mounted within the housing member for piercing a nozzle-end of the pressurized container at its domed top. A counter records each action of the puncture pin. Gases and residual contents are released into the receptacle through the hollow core of the puncture pin. An auxiliary support member is mounted on the housing member for stabilizing relative movement between the housing member and the receptacle. A force-applying apparatus is mounted on the housing member for forcing the pressurized container onto the puncture pin.

Method and apparatus for separating waste materials

A jetted bag opener separates mixed solid waste from flexible containers such as plastic and paper bags, and includes a housing configured with an ingress and an egress, at least two sets of a plurality of fluid delivery nozzles, where a first set of the nozzles is arranged along a sidewall at a first side of the housing, and a second set of the nozzles is arranged along the sidewall at a second side of the housing opposite the first side, and as fluid is sprayed from the nozzle outlets, the fluid is delivered at a force sufficient to penetrate into the flexible containers passing through the housing to thereby create an opening in the flexible containers for release of the mixed solid waste held therein.

When smoke emissions generated by the thermal decomposition pass through a shower 210 and a swashplate filter 220 of the filter section 200, a temperature thereof is lowered and tar is removed, and then the smoke emissions pass: through a blower 230, and when the smoke emissions pass through a water tank filter 240, tar is further removed, and moisture is removed by a cloth filter 250. Thereafter, odor is eliminated by a zeolite filter 260 and an activated carbon filter 270, and then, from an intake duct 30, and the smoke emissions are fed to the thermal decomposition treatment chamber 110.

The basket contains a tearing unit and has at least one opening at the top, the size and shape of which adjust the stay time of the capsules in the perforated basket or separation compartment. A cleaning unit cleans externally the perforated basket from the residues, which obstruct the side holes of the perforated basket.
