ROLLER LEVELER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
The invention relates to a roller leveler (1) having a set of upper and lower flattening rollers (2), wherein each flattening roller (2) is provided with a rotary drive (3) actuated by leveler control (4) for rotating the flattening roller (2) to advance a to-be-flattened metallic flat material in a forward direction (F) and, thereby, flatten the flat, metallic material. To achieve an improved and optimal flattening result, the invention proposes that each flattening roller (2) has a first rotary drive (L.sub.1, L.sub.2 . . . L.sub.n) for driving one axial end of the flattening roller (2), and a second rotary drive (R.sub.1, R.sub.2 . . . R.sub.n) for driving one axial end of the flattening roller (2) and a second rotary drive (R.sub.1, R.sub.2 . . . R.sub.n) for driving the other end of the flattening roller, wherein the leveler controller (4) is designed to apply a parameter determining the direction of rotation of the flattening roller (2) to the first and second rotary drives (L.sub.1, L.sub.2 . . . L.sub.n, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 . . . R.sub.n) individually based on a pre-set value. The invention also relates to a method of operating a roller leveler of this kind.
System and method for heating and re-rounding spoolable pipe
A system includes a pipe heater configured to heat spoolable pipe to provide a heated spoolable pipe and a pipe re-rounder configured to re-round the heated spoolable pipe to provide a rounded spoolable pipe. The system may also include a controller configured to control the pipe heater and the pipe re-rounder.
STRAIGHTENING DEVICE
A straightening device including: a plurality of rolling members, defining a first channel which is configured for a tubular member to pass therethrough, an extending direction of the first channel being transverse to at least one extending direction of at least one pivot of at least one of the rolling members; at least three shells, each of the at least three shells including two arm portions which are transversely connected with each other, the plurality of rolling members being rotatably disposed between the arm portions, at least one side of at least one of the arm portions having a protruding wall, the protruding wall extending along the at least one extending direction of the at least one pivot and being at least partially overlapped with at least one of the plurality of rolling members as viewed in a radial direction of the at least one pivot.

STRAIGHTENING APPARATUS
A straightening apparatus includes a primary plate, a movable plate, upper and lower pressing wheels and a guiding wheel. The movable plate is movable relative to the primary plate between an open position and a closed position. The upper pressing wheels are connected to the movable plate. The lower pressing wheels are connected to the primary plate. The guiding wheel is connected to the primary plate. The upper pressing wheels are located closer to the lower pressing wheels in the closed position than the open position. The tube can be located between the upper and lower pressing wheels in the open position. The upper and lower wheels together provide a straightening passage for straightening the tube in the closed position. The tube is pressed by the guiding wheel before the tube is straightened in the straightening passage.
STRAIGHTENING APPARATUS
A straightening apparatus includes a primary plate, a movable plate, upper and lower pressing wheels and a guiding wheel. The movable plate is movable relative to the primary plate between an open position and a closed position. The upper pressing wheels are connected to the movable plate. The lower pressing wheels are connected to the primary plate. The guiding wheel is connected to the primary plate. The upper pressing wheels are located closer to the lower pressing wheels in the closed position than the open position. The tube can be located between the upper and lower pressing wheels in the open position. The upper and lower wheels together provide a straightening passage for straightening the tube in the closed position. The tube is pressed by the guiding wheel before the tube is straightened in the straightening passage.
Method for producing a heat transfer tube for steam generator using drawing, solution heat treatment, and straightening
A method for producing a heat transfer tube for a steam generator comprises a step of providing a tube and then applying cold drawing to the tube by using a high-pressure lubricating oil of 40 MPa or more in pressure. After the step of applying cold drawing to the tube, a step of applying a solid solution heat treatment to the tube is conducted. After the step of applying a solid solution heat treatment to the tube, a step of straightening the tube by using a roll straightening machine is conducted. An offset amount of 5 mm or less is formed for at least successive three pairs of upper and lower straightening rolls of the roll straightening machine.
