METHOD FOR PRODUCING A ROLLED EDGE
The invention relates to a method for producing a rolled edge from a cylindrical edge portion (11) of a pipe. In the method, a starting zone (14) of the edge portion (11) is rolled by a forcibly controlled tool (30). A flanging die (21) then advances into the rolled edge portion (11) and flanges the rolled edge portion into a roll (12). The method according to the invention is characterized in that the starting zone (14) of the edge portion (11) is folded over by the tool (30), which comprises a folding die (37) and counterholder (34), at an angle () in the range from 75-105 from the axial direction (45) into a substantially radially peripheral flange (41). The invention further relates to elements, in particular in the forme of an aerosol dome, having such rolled edges.
Method for machining outer circumference of metal end cross-section and method for joining metal component obtained by the machining method with another member
Provided are a method for machining the outer circumference of a metal end cross-section, the method being capable of easily forming at least any of a deep groove, a deep recess, and a flange which are smooth and uniform in the longitudinal direction of a metal rod or metal pipe in the periphery of the cross-section of any of the end part of the metal rod or metal pipe, the drawn end part of the metal rod or metal pipe, and the hub hole forming part of the metal pipe; and a method for joining a metal component obtained by the machining method with another member. The machining method of the present invention is characterized in that: splitting is advanced by successively repeating press forming operation multiple times by using a slitting punch, in which a tip part has a sharp cutting edge, and the cutting edge is formed so as to have a shape equal to or partly equal to the outer shape of the cross section of a metal end part and so as to have a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the cross section of the splitting object; and in order to control the depth of metal cracking cleft created with each press forming operation, a pressing die for pinching the outside of a metal rod or at least a pressing die of one side of pressing dies for pinching the inside and the outside of a metal pipe is disposed while its position is moved according to the distance of a split portion.

END CLOSURE WITH DOUBLE ANTI-MISSILE SCORE
An end closure for food and beverage containers provides controlled opening characteristics to prevent the unintentional missiling of a tear panel. The end closure comprises a score line that defines a portion of the tear panel, and the end closure may comprise one or more anti-missile features that inhibit the propagation of a fracture down a score line, which reduces the likelihood that a tear panel will inadvertently detach from the end closure and injure the user or another.

VANE LOCKING APPARATUS
A locking apparatus for securing a turning vane to a duct rail is disclosed. The locking apparatus includes an elongate body defining a longitudinal axis and a working end including a first end portion, a second end portion, and an arcuate portion extending between the first end portion and the second end portion. The first end portion, second end portion, and arcuate portion together define a concavity that is configured for the reception of a portion of the turning vane therein. The arcuate portion is configured for engagement against the portion of the turning vane to roll the portion of the turning vane over a portion of the duct rail. The rolling of the portion of the turning vane over the portion of the duct rail is configured to secure the turning vane to the duct rail.
