MOBILE PIPE FUSING PLATFORM APPARTUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A mobile pipe fusion assembly system includes a fusion machine skid comprising a flat cross-sectional area whereon a pipe fusion machine rests, a forward skid comprising a flat cross-sectional area whereon a first pipe stand rests, and a rear skid comprising a flat cross-sectional area whereon a second pipe stand rests. The fusion machine skid is coupled to the forward skid by a first coupling. The fusion machine skid is coupled to the rear skid by a second coupling. The system is configured such that when the forward skid is pulled along a length of the pipe, the forward skid pulls the fusion machine skid via the first coupling and the fusion machine skid pulls the rear skid via the second coupling.
Dual action retention mechanism
Embodiments of the invention provide a die retainer for use in a tool. The die retainer can include a ram head, a release button, and a die pin. The ram head includes a die cavity and a pair of lateral sides on opposing sides of the die cavity. The release button can extend through a release button hole formed in the ram head hand include opposing ends that extend past each of the corresponding pair of lateral sides. The die pin extends through a die pin cavity that intersects the release button hole. The die release button can be actuatable from either of the opposing ends to retract the die pin from the die cavity.
Assembly assistance
A method including depositing a first material on a first member by an additive manufacturing process in a pattern intended to aid in an assembly of the first member and at least a second member and inserting the first member at least partially into the second member, with the first material being guide for insertion.
EIGHT SIDED FORGED FERRULE STAKING CRIMPED FITTING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Methods of making hose fittings include providing a stem having a fluid conduit, a first end, a second end with a raised shoulder, and a crimp region disposed between the first end and the second end. A swivel tube nut is placed over the stem, and the swivel tube nut is retained on the stem the by the raised shoulder. A ferrule is thereafter placed over the first end of the stem, and the ferrule comprises a partially or fully formed octagonal wrench surface, formed prior to. The ferrule is then crimped, at the octagonal wrench surface, onto the crimp region of the stem.
Exchangeable Jaw for Pressing Tool
The disclosure relates to an attachment for a base jaw of a pressing tool for pressing fittings in order to produce pipe connections, comprising an attachment body, a pressing section, formed on the attachment body, to form half of a jaw opening, and comprising a connecting section, formed on the attachment body, for a connection to the base jaw. The technical problem of providing attachments for exchangeable jaws, base jaws and systems which allow an improved use for fittings of different nominal widths is solved in that the pressing section and the connecting section are arranged at a distance from one another. The invention also relates to a base jaw and to a system consisting of at least two pairs of attachments and one pair of base jaws.
Crimping accessory devices and methods of use
A prosthetic valve assembly includes an annular frame having an inner radial surface, an outer radial surface, and defining an inner lumen. The prosthetic valve assembly further includes a leaflet assembly including at least one leaflet having an inner radial surface and an outer radial surface. The at least one leaflet is disposed at least partially within the inner lumen of the annular frame. The prosthetic valve assembly includes a crimping accessory device having a handle and at least one shielding member removably disposed between the outer radial surface of the at least one leaflet and the inner radial surface of the annular frame. The at least one shielding member is configured to reduce physical contact between the at least one leaflet and the inner radial surface of the annular frame.
Method for compressing a stented prosthesis
A tool for compressing a stented prosthesis. The tool includes first and second sets of rollers. The first set includes a plurality of rollers arranged to define a first working region having a first working diameter. The second set includes a plurality of rollers arranged to define a second working region having a second working diameter. The sets of rollers are arranged such that the working regions are axially aligned. The first working diameter is greater than the second working diameter. A stented prosthesis traversing the first working region and then the second working region is forced to a compressed state. In some embodiments, the tool includes one or more intermediate sets of rollers between the first and second sets of rollers, with each of the intermediate sets of rollers defining a working region having a working diameter. The respective working diameters progressively decrease in a downstream direction.

Radial press
A radial press is provided, the radial press having a frame structure, a pressing tool, a drive unit, and a press control. The pressing tool comprises a plurality of pressing elements which are disposed uniformly concentrically around a press axis and have pressing surfaces. During the appropriate activation of the drive unit, the pressing elements can be moved synchronously as required towards or away from the press axis. To this end, at least two measured value recorders, which are connected for signal transmission purposes to a comparator associated with the press control, are disposed on the pressing tool at positions spaced apart from one another in the direction of the press axis (A). When the comparative value, generated by the comparator, of the measured values provided by the measured value recorders exceeds a tolerance range stored in the press control, an activation of the signal output unit is triggered.
Restrained plastic pipe joint and method of making same
A gasket for preventing the separation of a pipe joint formed between plastic pipes such as pipes manufactured from PVC. The invention provides a restrained pipe joint including a first pipe including a bell with a spigot entryway and a substantially V-shaped annular groove. The annular groove includes a front radial wall and a rear radial wall and a gasket seated in the annular groove. The gasket includes an inner radial face, an opening defined by the inner radial face and an outer radial face with a front radial section located adjacent to the front radial wall of the annular groove and a rear radial section located adjacent to the rear radial wall of the annular groove. A plurality of restraining segments is at least partially embedded in the gasket.
