VALVE STEM SEAL
A valve stem seal exhibits superior workability of mounting of a reinforcing ring to a valve stem guide and enables the reinforcing ring to be fixed to the valve stem guide in a stable manner. A reinforcing ring is mounted to a valve stem guide by fitting a cylindrical portion to the valve stem guide from a side opposite to an inward flange portion. The cylindrical portion includes a slit extending linearly in a circumferential direction and a locking protrusion that is provided on a side opposite to the inward flange portion with respect to the slit and that is to be locked by a locking recess formed in the valve stem guide. The locking protrusion is constituted by a curved portion that is gradually recessed radially inward from the side opposite to the inward flange portion with respect to the slit to a position that reaches the slit.
Malleable press fittings
An unmachined cast body for a pipe fitting, the cast body includes a first body end and a second body end disposed opposite from the first body end, the cast body defining an axis extending from the first body end to the second body end, the cast body defining a midpoint between first body end and the second body end, a centerline of the cast body defined at the midpoint perpendicular to the axis, a first distance from the centerline to the first body end being equal to a second distance from the centerline to the second body end, an inner body surface defining a fitting bore extending through the cast body from the first body end to the second body end, and an outer body surface spaced from the inner body surface, the outer body surface defining a first frustoconical shape and a second frustoconical shape.
HYDRAULIC POWER TOOL
An example hydraulic tool includes: a fluid reservoir; a pump; an electric motor; a cylinder; a piston; a first trigger button; a second trigger button; and a controller configured to perform operations comprising: receiving a first signal when the first trigger button is triggered, responsively, causing the electric motor to rotate in a first rotational direction, thereby: (i) causing the pump to provide fluid to the cylinder, and (ii) causing the piston to move in a first linear direction, thereafter, receiving a second signal when the second trigger button is triggered, and responsively to the second signal, causing the electric motor to rotate in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction, thereby: (i) opening a fluid path from the cylinder to the fluid reservoir, and (ii) causing the piston to move in a second linear direction opposite the first linear direction.
DIELESS CRIMPING TOOL
A crimping tool with a housing, a motor, a switch connected to the motor for activating the motor, a pump driven by the motor, a piston driven by the pump, an indenter operably connected to the piston, and a tool head connected to the housing, wherein a workpiece can be disposed between the tool head and the indenter. A current sensor is connected to the motor for sensing current flowing through the motor. A processor receives current data from the current sensor, the processor analyzing the current data to determine completion of a crimping operation and/or an error condition. A display connected to the processor can indicate completion of a crimping operation and/or an error condition.
NOVEL ENHANCED STENT MAKING METHODS & APPLICATIONS OF THE SAME WITHIN VASCULAR SYSTEM NEEDING THE SAME
Improved stenting systems allow better placement without issues and placement, for example in the carotid arteries more facilely and rely during deployment than prior art.
PORTABLE HAND-HELD HYDRAULIC TOOLS
Portable, hand-held hydraulic tools having a modular power unit within a handle assembly and a working head assembly mated to the handle assembly. The working head assembly can have a pair of movable jaws or a movable jaw and a fixed jaw. The jaws can be configured to perform different operating operations, such as crimping operations and cutting operations.
Fitting assembly evaluating apparatus and methods
The present application discloses methods and apparatus for installing fitting components, such as a conduit gripping device, on a conduit to form an assembly. The assembly is joinable with at least one other fitting component to form a fitting. The present application also discloses methods and apparatus for evaluating characteristics of components of a mechanically attached connection. Characteristics that may be evaluated include, but are not limited to, the position of a conduit gripping device on a conduit, an amount of axial compression or stroke of the conduit gripping device, an amount of clamping force applied to the conduit gripping device as the conduit gripping device is compressed, and an amount of torque applied to members that compresses the conduit gripping device.
Cutting tool for band clamp
A cutting tool and a method of operating a cutting jaw is provided. The cutting tool includes a first jaw member having a first cutting edge and a first relief area adjacent the first cutting edge, the first jaw member further having a first projection extending from the first cutting edge into the first relief area. A second jaw member has a second cutting edge and a second relief area adjacent the second cutting edge, the second jaw member further having a second projection extending from the second cutting edge into the second relief area. Wherein the first projection and the second projection are sized to engage a leg of an ear clamp and prevent fully closing the ear clamp when the cutting tool is used in a crimping operation.

Apparatus for producing branch structure in metal pipe, and method for producing branch structure in metal pipe
The apparatus for producing a branch structure has: a die 10 having a spherical shape, and having a long diameter A1 and a short diameter B1 that is shorter than the long diameter A1; and an extraction jig 20 that can be connected to the die 10. At a time of removal, by the extraction jig 20 connected to the die 10, of the die 10 having been inserted into a pipe 30 in which a flanged portion 32 is to be formed, first flanging is performed by the die on a pilot hole 31 that is formed at a branch portion formation position in the pipe 30 and that runs radially through a body of the pipe 30, and then the extraction jig 20 causes the removed die 10 to rotate by a predetermined angle about a central axis, whereupon second flanging is performed on the pilot hole 31, from outside the pipe 30, by the rotated die 10.
