Apparatus and method for handling bars
An apparatus for handling bars includes a store provided with one or more containing elements, with a respective bundle or group of bars positioned in each. A feed station is located downstream of the store and configured to transfer the bars to a destination station. A removal device of the bars is associated with the feed station and is configured to remove the bars from at least one containing element of the store and transfer them onto the feed station. Movement means of the store, suitable to take at least one of said containing elements into correspondence with the removal device, are also included.

Disclosed is a flattening device, comprising: a rack; a material-pressing component, which is provided on the rack and has a material-pressing part; a material-guiding component, which is provided on the rack and has a material-guiding part corresponding to the material-pressing part, the material-pressing part and the material-guiding part being configured to be able to bear against two sides of a sheet material respectively, so as to form a flattening channel between the material-guiding part and the material-pressing part; and an adjusting component, which drives at least one of the material-pressing component and the material-guiding component to move, so as to adjust the distance between the material-pressing part and the material-guiding part. Further disclosed are a material-conveying apparatus including the flattening device and a sheet material processing system comprising the material-conveying apparatus.
PROCESSING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PROCESSING DEVICE
A processing device processes a frame-shaped workpiece which extends in a prescribed extension direction, and includes, integrally, a plate-shaped web surface portion, a plate-shaped first flange portion that bends and extends from one end of the web surface portion, and a plate-shaped second flange portion which bends from the other end of the web surface portion and extends in the opposite direction to the first flange portion. The processing device includes a shaping device which conveys the workpiece in the extension direction, and an exit side pinch roll device provided further downstream, in the workpiece conveying flow direction, than the shaping device. The exit side pinch roll device includes a first roll which presses a central region of an upper surface side of the web surface portion, and a second roll which presses a central region of a lower surface side of the web surface portion.

To provide a rod member feeding device that reduces the load on a spindle chuck and a finger chuck when a rod member is positioned, as well as providing a machine tool provided with the rod member feeding device, and a control method for the rod member feeding device. A rod member feeding device includes: a feed rod for supplying a rod member to a spindle; a servomotor for moving the feed rod along the axial direction of the spindle; and a control device (exemplified with a motor control device and a control device) for controlling the driving of the servomotor. The control device calculates a deviation between a command position based on an advance amount of the feed rod and the actual position of the feed rod that has been actually advanced by the driving of the servomotor, and controls the driving of the servomotor based on the magnitude of the deviation.

An automated method and machine for fabricating metal fence pickets in a single operation includes forming material, typically metal strip into multiple pickets with various shapes. The machine includes automated programmable machine for inserting raw material to form the metal fence pickets, automated programmable machine for embossing the metal fence pickets, automated programmable conveyor machine for conveying the raw material, automated programmable machine for cutting, punching holes, and folding the raw material to form the metal fence pickets.

Apparatus for working bars which includes a plurality of containing devices disposed adjacent and parallel to each other and with an oblong development in respective longitudinal directions to contain a respective bundle of bars and at least a work station located downstream of said containing devices; the work station includes at least a removal device to remove at least one bar from one of said containing devices, at least a drawing unit configured to move the bars in a direction of feed parallel to said longitudinal directions, and at least a bending device configured to bend said bars; at least a drive member is associated with said work station, configured to move said work station in a transverse direction with respect to said longitudinal directions so as to take said removal device into correspondence with one or the other of said containing devices, which are substantially fixed in position.

A device for manipulating a hollow shaft configured to create a pivot link between a first element and a second element. The manipulation device comprises a cylindrical body having a diameter variable by radial contraction or radial expansion of the cylindrical body, a module for controlling the diameter of the cylindrical body configured so that the diameter of the cylindrical body has alternatively at least a first diameter suitable for the cylindrical body to be displaced in the hollow shaft and a second diameter suitable for the cylindrical body to be blocked in the hollow shaft. The cylindrical body comprises an end configured to protrude from the hollow shaft when the cylindrical body is blocked in the hollow shaft. The manipulation device allows the alignment of the orifices due to the end configuration of the cylindrical body.
Automated end fitting installation system and method
Sucker rods include end fittings having an outer wedge portion proximate to an open end, an inner wedge portion proximate to a closed end, and an intermediate wedge portion between the outer and inner wedges. Each wedge includes a leading edge, a trailing edge, and an angle between the leading and trailing edges. The triangular configuration, length of the leading edge, the length of the trailing edge, and size of the angle in each wedge portion cause distribution of force, such that compressive forces distributed to the rod proximate the closed end exceed compressive forces distributed to the rod proximate the open end. An automated installation procedure installs the end fitting through the use of multiple chucks, positioned by servo motors along a fitting table.

A forming machine that produces formed parts of a complex design from straight workpieces from wire or tube includes a computerized numerical control unit; a plurality of workstations including a loading station, a first machining station downstream of the loading station, and at least one second machining station downstream of the first machining station, wherein at least two of the machining stations are forming stations; and a transport system that transports successive workpieces from the loading station to downstream workstations while under control by the control unit.
