11090096 · 2021-08-17 · ·

An instrument for bending a surgical rod includes first and second arm assemblies. The first arm assembly includes first and second arms having respective first and second receiving portions configured to receive the surgical rod therein. The second arm assembly includes third and fourth arms having respective third and fourth receiving portions configured to receive the surgical rod therein. The instrument is reconfigurable from an initial configuration in which the first and third receiving portions of the respective first and third arms engage the surgical rod such that transitioning the first and third arms towards each other bends the surgical rod in a first orientation and transitioning the first and third arms away from each other bends the surgical rod in a second orientation opposite to the first orientation.

DROPPED CEILING HANGER WIRE BENDING DEVICE

A wire bending device is adapted for bending hanger wires hanging from a ceiling in preparation of the installation of rails of a suspended ceiling. The bending device comprises a pole having a top extremity, a head module mounted to the pole, and a pair of handles distant from the head module for holding and activating the head module. The head module comprises a casing, a motor enclosed in the casing, a channel housed by the casing for receiving the hanger wire; and a push member driven by the motor travelling between an hanger wire insert position and a wire bend position, wherein the push member is adapted to push against the hanger wire and bend the hanger wire during its travel. Thereby, one may operate the bending device from the ground and bend hanger wires for installation of suspended ceiling rails.

Surgical methods and devices are provided for bending spinal rods. In one embodiment, a handheld tool is provided having an elongate shaft with a lumen formed therein that is configured to accommodate a spinal rod. The tool can include an opening in a proximal end that is configured to permit the loading of the spinal rod into the lumen, and a plurality of openings spaced along a longitudinal axis thereof that intersect the lumen for allowing a user to view and/or grasp a rod extending through the rod-receiving lumen and positioned within one of the plurality of openings. The tool can further be configured to permit a bent spinal rod to be received within the lumen. For example, the tool can include a channel in a lower surface thereof that allows a rod to exit the lumen and to extend laterally away from the tool.

Needle bending assembly

Embodiments of assemblies used for bending spinal needles and method for producing bent spinal needles used in medical procedures are disclosed. In one embodiment, a straight needle is placed in position for a fulcrum to apply pressure onto a designated spot on the needle and apply a bending pressure to bend the needle while the needle is supported at both ends. A barrier wall is configured to limit the movement of the needle resulting from the bending force to prevent overbending of the needle. In two other embodiments, a dual angle bending member enables selecting the bending angle desired by the user to be applied onto the needle. The angle of the bent needle is considerably reduced due to metal relaxation; however, the angle reduction is predictable and is taken into account in calculating the target bending angle.

A method for processing a cable includes a drawing-out step and a placement step. In the drawing-out step, a loop of the cable is drawn out over a guide body arranged on a loop placement surface. The loop is drawn out to a specified length using a driven dog. In the placement step, the loop is placed onto the loop placement surface by the dog. In the process, the loop is placed over the guide body.

JIG FOR STRAIGHTENING AND BENDING A MALLEABLE TOOL

A tool device is disclosed for generating a curved terminal from an insulation stripped end of an electrical wire. The tool device includes a first member having a first and a second end the first member having a longitudinal axis. A second member is disposed adjacent to the first member, the second member having a first and a second extremity. The second member defines a further longitudinal axis which is disposed substantially parallel to and spaced from the longitudinal axis of the first member. The arrangement is such that a space is defined between the first member and the second member for the reception therein of the insulation stripped end of the electrical wire. The curved terminal is generated during relative movement of the axes around the insulation stripped end of the electrical wire.

A rotary cable arranging tool is disclosed. The rotary cable arranging tool is used for untwisting a first and a second cable. The rotary cable arranging tool includes a first annular structure, a first and a second assembly member, and a first and a second hole. The first and the second holes are assembled by the cooperation of the first and the second assemblies so as to be pressed to change a width of an inner diameter. When the first and second cables are in a twisted state, the first and second assemblies are counter-rotated together, so that the first and the second cables are untwisted and enter the first and second holes respectively. Then the first and second holes are tightly combined with the first and second cables, and the first and the second cable are pulled out to be straightened.
