Medical puncture needle and method for manufacturing puncture needle
A medical puncture needle includes a rod-shaped main body portion; and a blade surface formed at a distal end portion of the main body portion. The blade surface includes a first blade surface portion and a second blade surface portion that intersect to form a blade edge. A needle tip is formed at a location at which a distal end of the blade edge intersects a first ridge line at an outer edge of the first blade surface and a second ridge line at an outer edge of the second blade surface. At least one of the blade surface portions is planar, and, in a central axis direction of the main body portion, said at least one blade surface portion extends to a location proximal of a middle position of a blade surface region in which the blade surface is formed.

SENSOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SENSOR
A sensor includes: a tubular needle member that includes a side wall and defines a hollow portion; and a linear detection member located in the hollow portion. The side wall of the needle member includes a thick portion that is thicker than another portion of the side wall in a cross-section of the needle member, and wherein the thick portion protrudes toward the hollow portion.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT, SURGICAL DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE
A surgical instrument for vitrectomy, in particular vitrectomy device or vitrector, comprising a hollow needle, in particular cannula, with a cylindrical wall which encloses a cavity of the hollow needle, wherein the hollow needle is closed on the end face at a distal end located in the longitudinal direction (L) of the hollow needle, and the hollow needle comprises a vitrectomy opening, whose opening normal is oriented radially or transversely to the longitudinal direction (L), has a predetermined minimum distance from the distal end, and the opening cross-sectional area in the longitudinal direction (L), or transversely to the longitudinal direction, or in the circumferential direction (U) comprises an elongated, at least partially curved shape, in particular a shape formed in the manner of an ellipse.
NEEDLE MEMBER, SENSOR, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NEEDLE MEMBER
A needle member includes: a tubular side wall through which a hollow portion extends in a longitudinal direction. An opening portion connected to the hollow portion extends laterally through the tubular side wall. The tubular side wall comprises a side wall reinforcement portion located at a position opposing the opening portion, wherein the hollow portion is interposed between the opening portion and the side wall reinforcement portion.

Material dispense tip
A material dispense tip includes an elongated hole in an elongated neck that extends from an input end of the neck to an output end of the neck. The hole at the output end of the neck has a first diameter. The output end of the neck is positioned against a die surface. A punch is inserted into the hole at the input end of the neck. An external force is applied to the neck to cause the output end of the neck to be deformed under compression by the die surface, to reduce the diameter of the hole at the output end of the neck from the first diameter to a second diameter that is less than the first diameter.
Method and System for Harvesting Biological Tissue
In one aspect, the dual bevel needle can include a hollow tube having a proximal end, a distal end, a first lateral side, and a second lateral side opposite the first lateral side; a first needle point at the distal end of the hollow tube; a second point at the distal end of the hollow tube; a first bevel on each of the first lateral side and the second lateral side, the first bevel comprising a first bevel angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the tube; and a second bevel on each of the first lateral side and the second lateral side, the second bevel having a second bevel angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the tube, wherein the first and second bevels each form a portion of an ellipse, the ellipse having an inner cutting edge and terminating in the first and second needle points at the distal end of the tube, the second bevel angle being shallower than the first bevel angle, the second bevel being located adjacent the proximal end of the first bevel, and the inner cutting edge converging to a narrow heel.
