METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL SHEET WITH RAISED LINES, METAL SHEET WITH RAISED LINES, AND STRUCTURAL COMPONENT
A method for producing a metal sheet with raised lines uses a rolling mill including a roll stand and produces a metal sheet including, on each of an upper surface and a lower surface, a plurality of raised lines extending in a rolling direction. The method includes a preparing step, an incorporating step, and a forming step. In the preparing step, grooved rolls are prepared, each of the grooved rolls including a plurality of grooves in an outer peripheral surface. In the incorporating step, the grooved rolls are incorporated in the roll stand as an upper roll and a lower roll, respectively. In the forming step, a workpiece is rolled by the rolling mill and is formed into a metal sheet with raised lines formed corresponding to the respective grooves of the grooved rolls.
Method for rolling metal composite plate strip
The present invention discloses a method for rolling a metal composite plate/strip, comprising the following steps: 1) selecting a metal base plate and a metal cladding plate, cleaning the surfaces of the base plate and the cladding plate to be composited until the metal matrixes are exposed; 2) sequentially laminating the base plate and the cladding plate to obtain a composite plate slab; 3) rolling the composite plate slab through a composite rough rolling mill having a corrugated roll to obtain a composite plate having a corrugated mating surface on its composite surface; and 4) flattening the composite plate having a complete corrugated cladding plate by a composite finish rolling mill to a desirable thickness to obtain a composite plate/strip.
Exterior décor panel for home appliance and apparatus of manufacturing the same
An exterior décor panel for a home appliance includes a metal sheet having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The metal sheet includes a first patterned portion having successive recesses formed in the first surface, where each of the successive recesses have a prescribed depth, and a second patterned portion having successive protrusions formed at the second surface, where the successive protrusions correspond to the successive recesses. The successive recesses are formed by applying a force to the first surface, thereby transferring the force to the second surface to form the successive protrusions.
Systems and methods for controlling surface texturing of a metal substrate with low pressure rolling
Systems and methods of applying a texture on a substrate include applying a texture to the substrate with a work stand of a coil-to-coil process. The work stand includes an upper work roll and a lower work roll vertically aligned with the upper work roll. At least one of the upper work roll and the lower work roll includes the texture. Applying the texture includes applying, by the upper work roll and a lower work roll, a work roll pressure on an upper surface and a lower surface of the substrate. The method further includes adjusting a contact pressure parameter of the work stand such that the work stand provides a desired contact pressure distribution across the width of the substrate and a desired thickness profile of the edges of the substrate while an overall thickness of the substrate remains substantially constant.
METHOD FOR ROLLING METAL SHEETS WITH VARIABLE THICKNESS
Described herein is a method for rolling metal sheets of variable thickness. The method makes it possible to impress, during rolling, any distribution of areas of increased thickness within a figure corresponding to the plane development of a motor-vehicle component prior to the pressing operation. Impression of the desired distribution of areas of increased thickness envisages simultaneous impression, during rolling, of a further distribution of areas of increased thickness, or compensation areas.
Method for manufacturing a component of austenitic TWIP or TRIP/TWIP steel
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a component of austenitic TWIP or TRIP/TWIP steel. A flat product (1) is deformed by achieving at least one indentation (16) on at least one surface of the flat product (1) in order to have in the deformed product (5) areas of a high strength steel embedded in a matrix of a ductile material. The invention also relates to the use of the component where areas of a high strength steel embedded in a matrix of a ductile material are required in the same component.
SURFACE TEXTURING OF DEFORMING TOOLS
A method of producing a deforming tool (2) having a structured embossing surface (4) which can be brought into contact with a surface of a substrate (1) for plastic deformation thereof (of the substrate), the method comprising: determining a target structure to be produced on the substrate (1); geometrically distorting the target structure, such that an “embossing image structure” is obtained; inverting the “embossing image structure”, such that the embossing structure for the embossed surface (4) is obtained; and producing the embossing surface (4) of the deforming tool (2) according to the embossing structure.
PROFILES
An elongate profile (1) having a first portion (2) and a second portion (3), the first and second portions (2, 3) being joined together at a first joining portion (JP1), the first and second portions (2, 3) being non collinear, the joining portion (JP1) comprising an array of raised or rebated formations (10a), each formation extending across the joining portion (JP1) in a direction which is non-parallel to the principal axis of the profile and flat lands being provided between successive formations in an array (10A) and the pitch (P) between successive formations in an array being from 2 to 20 times, for example from 5 to 15 times, the thickness (G) of the flatlands.
Method for engraving aluminium surfaces
The invention relates to a method including very superficial embossing combined with superficial laminating, which involves a slight reduction in thickness, the method being applied to plates several millimetres thick and to aluminium sheets having a thickness of less than 0.3 mm, supplied, in either case, as independent plates or in a continuous roll.
Method for setting roll gap of sinusoidal corrugated rolling for metal composite plate
A method for setting a roll gap of sinusoidal corrugated rolling for a metal composite plate includes steps of: determining entrance thicknesses, exit thicknesses, a width, and a rolling temperature of a difficult-to-deform metal slab and an easy-to-deform metal slab; detecting a roll speed and an entrance speed of a metal composite slab, obtaining a roll radius and friction factors; determining parameters of a sinusoidal corrugating roll and a quantity of complete sinusoidal corrugations on the sinusoidal corrugating roll; then calculating a time required for a complete corrugated rolling; calculating a rolling force at any time during the sinusoidal corrugated rolling of the metal composite plate; and calculating the roll gap S of the corrugated rolling at any time according to the rolling force F, and configuring a rolling mill to have the roll gap S according to an actual rolling schedule before normal production.
