CHAIR AND SEAT SUPPORT MECHANISM
A chair comprises: a leg 1 erected on a floor surface; a seat 3 arranged above the leg 1; and a support mechanism 8 interposed between the leg 1 and the seat 3, wherein the support mechanism 8 is arranged below the seat 3 and is configured to movably support the seat 3 along a predetermined trajectory by having an omnidirectional connection unit 72 configured to operably connect in all directions including the front-rear direction and the left-right direction, comprises: a seat inclining function configured to downwardly incline a tip side in a movement direction of the seat 3, and further comprises: a return-force generation mechanism configured to generate, by elevating a center of gravity of the seat 3, a return force in a direction of returning the seat 3 to the reference position.
Seat apparatus
In order to improve steering operation operability during cornering while maintaining a driver holding property, a seat apparatus is provided with: a seat back frame; a cornering sensor for detecting a cornering direction of a vehicle; and a control unit that controls the seat back frame on the basis of the result of detection by the cornering sensor. The seat back frame is provided with: left and right side frames disposed on both sides of the seat back frame; a back plate disposed between the left and right side frames; and a swinging mechanism for swinging the back plate with respect to the direction of movement of the vehicle. The control unit controls the swinging mechanism such that, upon detection of a cornering direction of the vehicle by the cornering sensor, the inner one of the sides of the back plate with respect to the cornering direction is positioned rearward of the outer one of the sides with respect to the cornering direction.
HALF-SITTING STOOL WITH SUPPORTED SIT BONE
A seating apparatus for supporting a portion of a user, the seating apparatus comprising a reorientable seat portion including a seat platform and a cutout, wherein the seat selectively underlies a first ischial tuberosity of the user but not the second ischial tuberosity, the selection of which is determined by the orientation of the reorientable seat portion.
Therapy stool having an adjustable height and a tiltable seat
A stool comprises a height-adjustable seat. The seat is coupled to a stem of the stool using a ball and socket mechanism. The ball and socket mechanism enables the seat to be tiltable up to 20 degrees in all directions about a vertical axis. The ball and socket mechanism aids in providing the seated individual with an increased range of motion. The range of tiltable motion can be adjusted using an adjustment member.
SEAT CUSHION
A seat cushion is provided. The seat cushion includes an upper pad, a lower pad, a support structure, a plurality of optical modules, and a processor. The upper pad includes a plurality of transparent areas. The lower pad is provided with a plurality of grooves to accommodate the optical modules. The support structure is connected between the upper pad and the lower pad. The optical modules are located below the upper pad and are disposed corresponding to the transparent areas. The optical modules respectively transmit sense signals and respectively receive feedback signals corresponding to the sense signals. The processor is coupled to the optical modules and is configured to collect optical signals.
Guide spring for a seating device and sprung seating device
A guide spring for a seating device has an inner portion, an outer portion, and a spiral coiled portion extending more than one convolution between the inner portion and the outer portion. The inner portion is firmly attached to a rod and the outer portion is firmly attached to a body. The guide spring thereby secures a radial position of the rod within the body, allowing the rod to move axially relative to the body when a load is placed onto the seating device. When in use, the guide spring deforms from a flat spiral shape to a conical spiral shape with axial movement of the rod relative to the body.
Carriage sit box for reformer exercise apparatus
A sit box for use on a reformer exercise apparatus carriage is a unitary body having a rectangular flat top surface portion joining four curved portions. Each curved portion merges with one of an upright front wall, an upright back wall, an upright left side wall, and an upright right side wall. The walls terminate at a generally flat rectangular bottom parallel to the top surface portion. Each wall curves to merge with an adjacent wall. Each of the left and right side walls has an outwardly open vertical recess therein adjacent the front wall to receive within each recess one of a pair of shoulder stops projecting from the carriage.
FIDGETING SEATING ARRANGEMENT
A seating arrangement to be used on a floor includes a support assembly and a seat assembly with a top surface. The support assembly includes a top plate, a bottom plate, a compressible elastic member between the top and bottom plates, and a fastener assembly connecting the top and bottom plates. A diameter of the compressible elastic member is greater than or equal to 40% of a diameter or a length of a diagonal of the top surface of the seat assembly. In response to offset weight placed on the seat assembly, the compressible elastic member selectively compresses causing the seat assembly to axially tilt in substantially any direction such that a plane of the seat assembly tilts downward from a neutral position substantially parallel to the floor, and decompress to the neutral position, in response to the offset weight removed from the seat assembly.
SEAT
The present disclosure relates to a seat, comprising: a seat base; a seat frame; and a sitting posture detection device configured to alert a user when a sitting posture of the user sitting on the seat deviates from a standard sitting posture, wherein the sitting posture detection device includes: one or more distance sensors configured to measure a distance from the seat frame to one or more body parts of the user; and a processor configured to determine, according to the distance detected by the distance sensor, whether the sitting posture of the user deviates from the standard sitting posture, and issue an alarm information if the sitting posture of the user deviates from the standard sitting posture.
STOOLS, CHAIRS, AND METHODS USING THE SAME
An apparatus that supports a user in a variety of positions to comfortably perform tasks, such as applying one or more tattoos to skin of a subject is herein disclosed. The apparatus can be reconfigured to optimally position and support the arms and/or chest of the user. A method for using a stool can involve rotating armrests of the apparatus from a stowed position to a deployed position. The armrests can support the user's forearms while supporting the user's chest such that the user can comfortably perform tasks in front of a chest support of the stool.
