A foldout cabinet bed has two faces that fold out from a vertical position to a horizontal position, thereby creating a surface that can be used for sleeping. Each face has two side rails for enclosing an area for placing a mattress. The rails are dimensionally asymmetrical such that one of the faces has a smaller rail height/depth than the adjacent rail on the other face. The shorter rail height is smaller than the thickness of the mattress, thus allowing a user to comfortably sit on the edge of the mattress. The taller rail height is larger than the thickness of the mattress and provides a headboard.

A folding bed chest device includes a chest and a sleeping platform. The chest is configured to store a foldable mattress and the sleeping platform when the folding bed chest device is in a folded position. The sleeping platform is configured to support a weight of the foldable mattress when the folding bed chest device is in an unfolded position.

First ends of the swing arms are configured to swing outward about ends of the pivoting plate. Second ends of the swing arms removably attach to the end plate to form a rectangular structure for securely receiving a bed frame. The lift system also includes a storage unit defined by a lift gate configured within an interior of the storage unit. The lift gate includes a linear actuator for converting the support between a folded and an unfolded position by manipulating the pivoting plate coupled to the linear actuator. A controller is provided for controlling the lift gate.

A combination bed construction comprising a bed frame, movable between a vertical and horizontal position, in which the bed frame has a pair of elongated boards on each end that extend over to a floor cabinet and engage pivots on each end of this floor cabinet, that when rotated on these pivots to its vertical position, comes to rest on top of this cabinet.

The furniture may be converted to a couch by repositioning a foldable mattress topper as a backrest against the outer frame while the bed frame is horizontal. The furniture may further comprise a bed frame extension, allowing the foldable mattress topper to be repositioned as a second mattress alongside a first mattress.
