Foldout Bed
A foldout bed assembly with bifold doors is described. The assembly includes a first door that folds along a first seam to reduce the width of the first door. The first door is hingeably coupled with a first side wall such that the door and side wall can be folded together in an accordion fashion. The door and side wall combination can also be folded along a third seam that is perpendicular to the first and second seams. The third seam allows for reduction of the height of the unit. The foldout bed assembly includes a second door and second side wall that is similar in construction as the first door and first side wall (e.g., left and right doors). Each door and side wall combination can be shipped in a folded configuration for economic shipping. Upon delivery, the combination can be unfolded for quick and easy installation.

Foldout Bed
A foldout bed having two frames is described. Two frames are hingeably coupled with each other at a pivot point, by which the two frames are transitionable between a coplanar configuration and a non-coplanar configuration. Two frames are also coupled by a counterbalance mechanism, which couples one frame to a lower member of the other frame such that the counterbalance mechanism does not extend beyond a front-most surface of the other frame. The foldout bed also has two panels, each of which couples with one of the two frames, respectively. The distance between two panels forms a gap that is sized and dimensioned to allow the two frames to transition between the coplanar and non-coplanar configuration without encumbrance. The gap is covered by a gap cover.
System and method for bed with storage area
What is disclosed is a a storage area for a bed and a method of use. The bed includes a first section and a second section coupled to each other via a hinge mechanism. The first section includes a first surface, wherein one or more items of bedding lie on the first surface, and a constraining mechanism. The second section includes a storage area. The method includes rotating the first section about the hinge mechanism from a closed position to an open position and constraining, by the constraining mechanism, the one or more items of bedding to lie on the first surface during the rotating of the first section.

CONVERTIBLE BED SYSTEM
A bed assembly includes a frame having a base and a rail extending laterally along the base and coupled to the base, the rail dividing the base into a first base portion and a second base portion. A pair of platforms are arranged to support a pair of mattresses, with at least one platform being slidably coupled to the rail and configured to pivot between a sleeping position and a folded position. In the sleeping position, the pair of platforms are disposed horizontally and vertically above the first base portion, and in the folded position, the pair of platforms extends in a vertical direction relative to the base. The bed assembly also includes a cabinet slidably coupled to the frame and arranged to move laterally relative to the pair of platforms.
