Provided is a lathe capable of facilitating the act of collecting chips around the tool post. The first tool post is movably supported on the side of the supporting bed. The first tool post driving unit moves the first tool post in a first axis direction perpendicular to an axis of a first spindle. The second headstock driving unit moves the second headstock in a second axis direction perpendicular to the axis of the first spindle and oblique to the first axis direction. The second tool post holding the second tool is in a position not overlapping the plurality of first tools in a third axis direction and in a position that the second tool and part of the second tool post on an extension of the second tool overlap the plurality of first tools in the direction of the axis of the first spindle.

MACHINE TOOL AND DRAG FRAME CONVEYOR FOR FEEDING/REMOVING WORKPIECES
20200298314 · 2020-09-24 ·

A machine tool comprises a machine frame, a first spindle having a first workholder rotatable about a first axis, a second spindle having a second workholder rotatable about a second axis, a first tool carrier for machining one side of a workpiece in the first spindle, and a second tool carrier for machining a different side of a workpiece in the second spindle. The second spindle is arranged on a spindle carrier movable relative to the machine frame, using a carriage system, in parallel with and transversely to the first axis. The second workpiece spindle is pivotal on the spindle carrier, using a pivoting device, about a pivot axis that extends perpendicularly to a movement plane. The second tool carrier is positioned on a guide carriage movable relative to the machine frame in parallel with the pivot axis. A drag frame conveyor is provided to feed or transport workpieces.

Machine tool with work transferring mechanism
10773350 · 2020-09-15 · ·

A machine tool with work transferring mechanism provided with a work transferring mechanism which transfers a work and receives/delivers the work from/to a main spindle. In the front-rear direction, the space inside the machine tool is divided via a shutter into a machining space in which the main spindle is arranged and a transferring space in which the work transferring mechanism transfers the work. The work transferring mechanism is equipped with a work retainer retaining the work and a moving mechanism moving the work retainer. While the work attached to the main spindle is machined, the work retainer is preliminarily moved by the moving mechanism to a vicinity of the main spindle via the shutter.

A machine tool includes a spindle headstock having a main spindle, a spindle headstock having a main spindle with a Z3 axis parallel to an axis center direction of the main spindle, a turret that moves relative to the spindle headstocks, and a controller that superposition-controls the spindle headstock with movement of the turret as a standard, wherein the turret is movable in directions of an X axis and a Ys axis that are orthogonal to a Z axis and intersect with the Z axis at an angle except for the right angle, and the controller moves the turret in a direction of a Y axis different from the Ys axis and the X axis by combining movement in the direction of the Ys axis and movement in the direction of the Y axis, and regulates, in the superposition control, the movement of the spindle headstock in the X axis direction associated with the movement in the Y axis direction.
