INSTRUMENTED TOOL POST, AND ASSOCIATED TOOL HOLDER
The invention relates to a tool post of a machine tool, which tool post is capable of receiving a cutting insert for machining a component, characterised in that it comprises at least one sensor capable of determining a parameter representative of a cutting action between a component to be machined and a cutting insert, and a support housing (9) which is electrically connected to the sensor and comprises a battery (17) and a printed circuit board (19) supplied with current by said battery (17), wherein said printed circuit board (19) supports, at least partially, a radio transmission unit (11) and the housing (9) consists of a base (21) and a cover (23) which can be detached from one another, and in that the battery (17) is supported by the cover (23) and the printed circuit board (19) by the base (21) or vice versa.
PROCESSING TOOL AND PROCESSING TOOL ASSEMBLY
A processing tool includes a long cutting portion with a connecting surface and at least one clamped portion which is fixed to the connecting surface. The long cutting portion extends along a longitudinal direction. Each of two sides of the long cutting portion along the longitudinal direction is an abutted end. A bottom portion of each of the abutted ends is connected to the connecting surface, and a top portion of each of the abutted end is away from the connecting surface. A first length is defined between the top portions of the abutted ends, and a second length is defined between the bottom portions of the abutted ends, wherein the first length is smaller than the second length. A processing tool assembly is provided as well. With such design, the processing tool thereof could be changed easily. Multiple workpieces could be simultaneously cut, and the accuracy thereof could be enhanced.
Tool system and method for turning
A tool system for machining includes a tool body that has a first end for connecting to a machine tool and a second end having an end face on which a seat for an interchangeable cutting insert is formed. The cutting insert has an underside formed as an abutment surface, a top side formed as a rake face, and an encircling side face formed as a flank, and a cutting edge is formed at a transition from the top side to the encircling side face. The cutting insert is arranged on the seat such that the top side extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the tool body and the cutting edge protrudes beyond the outer circumference of the end face of the tool body in a radial direction with respect to the longitudinal axis with two usable cutting corners and cutting-corner portions adjoining the latter on both sides.

Parting blade and tool holder therefor
A tool holder including a tool shank and a tool head connected to the tool shank. The tool head comprising an insert seat or a blade pocket. Adjacent to at least a portion of a shank side surface there is a reinforcement portion connecting the shank side surface and the tool head.
Turning tool
An indexable cutting insert for a cutting tool for material processing machines has a first axis of symmetry, at least one fastening bore passing through the indexable cutting insert parallel or coaxially to this first axis, two groups of main cutting edges, secondary cutting edges and cutting corners having a second axis of symmetry rotationally symmetrically opposite one another. At least the main cutting edges enclose an acute cutting edge angle with a plane oriented orthogonally to the first axis of symmetry. A cutting insert holder holds and fixes an indexable cutting insert. A recess for receiving the indexable cutting insert is on an elongated base body with polygonal cross-section. A support surface for supporting the indexable cutting insert is rotated about the base-body longitudinal axis and tilted about a second axis, a line of intersection between the rotated support surface and a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
DEVICE FOR SAFELY GRIPPING TOOL-HOLDERS
A device for easily and safely gripping and moving the bodies (10) of a tool-holder, typically in the form of a substantially regular quadrangular prism of any size, whether motorised or non-motorised and intended, above all, for fitting onto multi-spindle or single-spindle numerical control lathes, transfer machines, milling centres of any type and, in general, machine tools performing chip removal; said device includes a plurality of grooves or recesses, realised by moulding or other suitable mechanical processing on at least a part of one of the two opposite lateral faces of said bodies (10), to form a set of multiple grooves (12) in any way arranged and/or oriented.
TOOL ADAPTOR HAVING AN INSERT RECEIVING POCKET AND A FASTENING BORE, AND CUTTING TOOL ASSEMBLY
A tool adaptor has a front retaining portion and a rear mounting portion, the front retaining portion having a base jaw, a clamping jaw, and an insert receiving pocket located therebetween, and the rear mounting portion having a rear mounting surface and a first fastening bore. A primary slot separates the base jaw from the clamping jaw and communicates with the insert receiving pocket, and a secondary slot transverse to the primary slot separates the clamping jaw from the rear mounting portion. The first fastening bore has a first bore axis which intersects the rear mounting surface and the secondary slot. A cutting tool assembly includes a tool shank, and the tool adaptor secured to a front mounting portion of the tool shank by means of a first fastening screw occupying the first fastening bore and a first shank bore of the front mounting portion.
MACHINE TOOL AND CONTROL DEVICE
A machine tool and a control device therefor, wherein vibration cutting of a workpiece is carried out by means of a tool and wherein, after the vibration cutting, finish-cutting is carried out for cutting a finishing allowance of the workpiece by means of the tool, without relative vibration between the workpiece and the tool, by relatively rotating the workpiece and the tool and relatively moving them in the feed direction. According to the invention, before the vibration cutting, a finishing allowance calculation means calculates a finishing allowance remaining on the workpiece after vibration cutting has been completed, and a determination means determines whether or not the finishing allowance as calculated by the finishing allowance calculation means is less than, or equal to a predetermined threshold value.
