Stiffness adjustment device
The invention relates to the field of furnishing. In particular, the invention relates to a stiffness adjustment device movable between an interference position for imposing a restriction on the deformation of a seat, back or bedding spring, and a non-interference position for releasing the spring from the restriction. The stiffness adjustment device comprises a resilient element, e.g. such as a flexible blade and, as it moves between the interference and non-interference positions it passes through an intermediate position in which the resilient element is subjected to resilient bending that is greater than in the interference and non-interference positions.
Methods and systems of an adjustable sleeping system
An adjustable sleeping system. At least some of the example embodiments are an adjustable sleeping system comprising a plurality of spring modules arranged in a first column, each spring module defines a row within the first column. Each spring module may comprise a rail and a plurality of adjustable spring assembles coupled along the rail. Each adjustable spring assembly may comprise a motor coupled to the rail, a lead screw coupled to a rotor of the motor, a spring plate coupled to the lead screw, and a spring coupled to the spring plate. A bed controller is communicatively coupled to each spring module, and the bed controller is configured to selectively control a load carried by each spring assembly.
Spring module and spring cushion for furniture
The present invention provides a spring module for a spring cushion of furniture and a spring cushion having the same, the spring module may comprise a spring and a spring bracket for accommodating the conical spring, and the spring bracket may comprise a base, an end cover and a flexible connecting part connected therebetween, the spring may be fixed in the spring bracket with a predetermined initial pressure. The present invention further relates to a spring cushion having the spring module.
Improvements in and relating to beds
The present invention relates to beds having a support surface defined by a plurality of support members (104, 204, 240). According to some aspects the support members are sprung (104, 204) and the bed includes a damping system (106, 206), for example a damping arm (124), for damping vibrations of the springs (118, 218). According to some aspects the support members (204, 240) have laterally extending pusher members (236, 238) arranged to engage with adjacent support members (204, 240); the pusher members (236, 238) comprising damping material (254). According to some aspects the support members (104, 204) are received by a guide member (320, 420) made up of two parts (320a, 320b, 420a, 420b) arranged to retain a spring by engaging between the coils of the spring (418). The present invention also relates to bed frames comprising a plurality of movable side elements (568, 768, 1068) mounted for movement in a direction substantially normal to the body support surface. The side elements (568, 768, 1068) are resiliently urged towards an unloaded position. The present invention also relates to methods of manufacturing beds.
FURNITURE CONSTRUCTION WITH ELASTIC OR SPRING MODULES
Furniture is assembled from elastic modules enabling rapid and convenient assembly and disassembly. The elastic module has a spring, an outer covering layer, and an end member attached to an end face of the outer covering layer. A mattress includes a plurality of individual spring assemblies (145), with each spring assembly including at least one spring (134) and a spring cap (144, 150, 161, 164, 171, 184, 194, 204). Each spring cap has at least one first attachment fitting (168, 178, 174, 186, 196) and at least one second attachment fitting (169, 180, 176, 187) with each first attachment fitting engageable into or onto and removable from a second attachment fitting of an adjoining spring cap. The spring assemblies are attached to each other via the first and second attachment fittings, forming the individual spring assemblies into a spring core. A top pad is positioned on top of the spring core. The mattress can be quickly dis-assembled and stored in a compact space by removing the top pad and separating the spring assemblies from each other.
ELASTIC MODULE BALANCE CUSHION, ELASTIC CUSHION, AND FURNITURE
A balancing pad for furniture includes a base plate and a plurality of spaced apart limit bosses forming receiving spaces configured to receive corresponding elastic modules of an elastic base pad. The balancing pad constrains movement of the elastic modules in a transverse direction. When assembled to form the elastic pad, the balancing pad may be laid on the elastic base pad and a portion of the elastic modules may be received in respective receiving spaces. Constraining movement of the elastic modules improves the stability of the elastic pad, providing better comfort.
ELASTIC MODULE BALANCING PAD, ELASTIC PAD AND FURNITURE
A balancing pad for furniture includes a pad body having a first pad surface with receiving holes extending in the thickness direction of the pad body. Each receiving hole is configured to receive a portion of a corresponding elastic module of an elastic base pad, to restrict movement of the elastic modules in the transverse direction of the pad body. A second pad surface is provided with a vent structure. After assembled to form an elastic pad, the balancing pad restricts movement of elastic modules and allows the elastic pad to be rapidly restored with good support properties. The balancing pad can effectively improve stability, recoverability and support performance, providing higher comfort and a more hygienic environment.
Tubular spring assembly
A tubular spring assembly and a series of tubular spring assemblies for use in beds, chairs, or other cushioned surfaces, the tubular spring assembly having a tubular base member, a tubular second member that partially nests and is slidable within the tubular base member, a spring connecting the two tubular members, a ball joint affixed to the exterior of the second member and a pad attached to the ball joint wherein a series of tubular spring assemblies can be arranged within the interior of a bed, chair, or other cushioned surface to provide widely dispersed pressure onto the user.
Multi layered modular support system for lounge and other applications
A lounge having a matrix mat and a plurality of modules capable of being inserted into the matrix mat. The lounge may include a frame configured as a rigid frame, a modular frame, and combinations thereof. The modular frame may further include a tri-cable suspension. The tri-cable suspension may be attached to a dilator retractor mechanism. The modules may be a mushroom cap module, a spider spring module, a web module, a lighting module, an electronics module, and combinations thereof.
Automated bed and method of operation thereof
