Compressible foam foundation for mattress support
A foundation for a mattress is formed from one or more single-layer, unitary foam blocks with supports that extend across each foam block's bottom side. The supports provide lateral or longitudinal crosswise support across a bed frame and can be directly attached to the foam block or may be provided in a kit or separately sourced. Legs can be attached to the crosswise supports. The foam block is rigid enough to support a mattress and is compressible so it has a compressed configuration and an expanded configuration, and its bottom side may have channels for the supports. In the compressed configuration, the foundation may be folded and vacuum-sealed in a plastic membrane which provides benefits for storing, shipping, and delivering the foundation. When the foundation is delivered to its place of use, the compressed foundation is removed from its packaging, allowing the foam block to return to its expanded configuration.
System for supporting a human body or a human body segment
A system for supporting the human body or a human body segment is provided. The system comprises a base element having a substantially flat shape, and one or more pluralities of shaped modular elements. The base element is flexible, so that it can be brought from an operating, extended configuration to a non-operating, folded configuration. The support system comprises one or more stiffening elements, which are designed in such a way that, on the one hand, they provide the correct stiffness to the backrest when in the operating configuration, and, on the other hand, they do not prevent the possibility of folding the backrest when in the non-operating configuration. The support system can, for example, be made in the form of a seat, a backrest, a mattress, or the like.
COMPRESSIBLE FOAM FOUNDATION FOR MATTRESS SUPPORT
A foundation for a mattress is formed from a foam block and may also have supports that extend across the foam block's bottom side. The supports can be manufactured with the foam block or may be provided in a kit or separately sourced. The foam block is rigid enough to support a mattress and is compressible so it has a compressed configuration and an expanded configuration and its bottom side may have channels for the supports. In the compressed configuration, the foundation may be folded into a compact form and vacuum-sealed in a plastic membrane which easies in storage, shipping, and delivery of the foundation. When the foundation is delivered to its place of use, the compressed foundation can be removed from its packaging, allowing the foam block to return to its expanded configuration and placed onto a standard bed frame with the supports providing crosswise support across the frame.
FOLDABLE, STAND-ALONE MATTRESS WITH INTERNAL SPRING SYSTEM
An internal spring system resiliently supports a mattress in an item of furniture. The spring system includes a system of sinuous springs arranged between upper and lower wire grids. A movable extender assembly is mounted on the grids to accommodate a longitudinal shift between the upper and lower grids during folding of the spring system between open and closed positions.
Foldable bedding foundation having L-shaped spacers
A foldable bedding foundation comprising a first section is hingedly secured to a second section so that the bedding foundation may be folded for storage or transportation purposes. Each section has a base, an upper deck and a plurality of generally L-shaped spacers pivotally secured to the base and upper deck. Upper and lower hinges extend between the base and upper deck of each section. Locking members extending through the spacers maintain the foundation in its erected position.
FURNITURE CONSTRUCTION WITH ELASTIC OR SPRING MODULES
Furniture is assembled from elastic modules enabling rapid and convenient assembly and disassembly. The elastic module has a spring, an outer covering layer, and an end member attached to an end face of the outer covering layer. A mattress includes a plurality of individual spring assemblies (145), with each spring assembly including at least one spring (134) and a spring cap (144, 150, 161, 164, 171, 184, 194, 204). Each spring cap has at least one first attachment fitting (168, 178, 174, 186, 196) and at least one second attachment fitting (169, 180, 176, 187) with each first attachment fitting engageable into or onto and removable from a second attachment fitting of an adjoining spring cap. The spring assemblies are attached to each other via the first and second attachment fittings, forming the individual spring assemblies into a spring core. A top pad is positioned on top of the spring core. The mattress can be quickly dis-assembled and stored in a compact space by removing the top pad and separating the spring assemblies from each other.
MATTRESS ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A mattress assembly includes a chassis having top and bottom walls and first and second sidewalls that each extend from the top wall to the bottom wall. Inner surfaces of the walls and the sidewalls define an interior cavity. The top and bottom walls each include a first section that is connected to the first sidewall and a second section that is connected to the second sidewall such that the first sections are pivotable relative to the first sidewall and the second sections are pivotable relative to the second sidewall. The first section of the top wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the top wall and the first section of the bottom wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the bottom wall. A spring assembly is configured to be positioned within the interior cavity.

Collapsible breathable mattress
A support surface assembly comprising four corner elements; at least four elongated rigid frame sections; a first air permeable layer suspended between the at least four elongated rigid frame sections; and a second air permeable layer suspended between the at least four elongated rigid frame sections; wherein the four corner elements include at least one lock element, the lock element having a first position that engages at least one elongated frame section and prevents relative movement between the four elongated rigid frame sections; the lock element having a second position that permits relative movement between the four elongated rigid frame sections.
ELASTIC CUSHION, SIDE ENCLOSURE, ELASTIC CUSHION LAYER AND FURNITURE
An elastic pad for furniture can be customized and assembled by a user. The elastic pad includes an outer cover, an elastic module layer and at least one elastic pad layer. A side enclosure of the outer cover is detachably connected with a top cover body, and the side enclosure is detachably connected with the bottom cover body. The elastic pad is configured to allow a user to select a desired type and/or a desired number of elastic module layers and elastic pad layers, and to further select the side enclosure based on a thickness of the elastic module layer and elastic pad layer, and assemble the top cover body, the bottom cover body, the selected side enclosure, and the selected elastic module layers and elastic pad layers together to obtain the elastic pad.
