BALANCING PRESSURE BEARING APPARATUS
20220312975 · 2022-10-06 · ·

A balancing pressure bearing apparatus including a connecting base and bearing components is provided. Inside the connecting base is any material selected from a volume-incompressibe fluid, semifluid and elastic element, and arranged thereabove is each bearing component. The bearing components have bearing surfaces for supporting any pressing-down human body part and pressure reduction. When the connecting base is pressed down, a Pascal phenomenon is generated for a pressure applied to the fluid, semifluid or elastic element inside the connecting base to be transmitted equally in all directions. Each portion thereof has the same pressure for balancing pressure of the supportive bearing surfaces pressed by any two human body parts, thereby reducing and balancing pressures thereon to achieve a more comfortable contact sensation of pressure release and a correct posture effect. Hence, the invention can serve as a cushion, seat, backrest, mattress or pillow product.

An inflatable cushion comprises an inflatable cushion body. The inflatable cushion body comprises a first region and a second region formed by pressing an upper and a lower fabric layers; the first region and the second region are adjacent; a cavity is arranged in the first region; a sponge is arranged in the cavity; the inflatable cushion body is provided with an air guide part for inflating and deflating the cavity; the second region is evenly provided with transverse sealing lines; the transverse sealing lines separate the second region into mutually communicated inflating cavities; and the second region is provided with a first inflating port for inflation and deflation. By arranging the first region and the second region, the sponge is arranged in the first region and the inflating cavities are arranged in the second region.

AIR MATTRESS WITH FEATURES FOR DETERMINING AMBIENT TEMPURATURE

Bladder pressure readings of bladder pressure inside an air bladder of a mattress are received for a particular time. Barometric pressure readings of barometric pressure in an ambient environment outside the mattress are received for the particular time. The bladder pressure and the barometric pressure readings are used as input to an ambient temperature classifier. Output from the ambient temperature classifier is received as an ambient temperature value for the particular time

Patient support apparatus with magnetorheological material

A patient support apparatus is provided with selective stiffening features. The patient support apparatus may include a support substrate defining a patient support surface. The support substrate may include a magnetorheological material providing selective reinforcement support of at least a portion of the patient support surface to redistribute pressure about a surface of a patient. The magnetorheological material may include a distribution of ferromagnetic particles disposed within a polymeric material and exhibits a shape conforming, variable stiffness in response to exposure to a magnetic field. A controller may be provided and configured to create a correlation of patient specific data with an optimal stiffness or inflection force deflection (IFD) of the patient support surface, and generate a strength of the magnetic field based on the correlation.

Inflatable bed

An inflatable bed is provided including an upper sheet, a lower sheet, a lateral confining sheet and a first internal sheet. The lateral confining sheet connects the upper sheet and the lower sheet to define an inflatable chamber. The upper sheet has a planar portion and an oblique portion. The planar portion of the upper sheet is connected to the lower sheet by means of the first internal sheet. The lateral confining sheet comprises a circumferential portion and an extension portion extending upward along an end of the circumferential portion. The extension portion and the oblique portion of the upper sheet are connected to form a backrest of the inflatable bed, and the backrest is internally provided with a second internal sheet which is used for connecting the oblique portion of the upper sheet to the extension portion of the lateral confining sheet. The inflatable bed may further include a third internal sheet, a fourth internal sheet and a fifth internal sheet which are regionally arranged in an inner part to form an integrated backrest.
