LESS TOXIC MATTRESS
A mattress and method of constructing the mattress having a reduced toxicity has a cover or an outermost layer including food grade polyethylene. Also, the outer layer of the mattress can also be constructed from a material selected from the same group of materials. Food grade polyethylene films are less toxic materials which reduce adverse human health effects due to the exposure to potentially harmful chemicals used in the mattress construction.
ORTHOPEDIC, SEMI-ORTHOPEDIC AND NON-ORTHOPEDIC MATTRESSES WITH MAGNETIC AND FAR INFRARED PALETTES ON POLYURETHANE FOAM LAYERS FOR PROGRESSIVE SUPPORT
The multi-layer multi-material foam mattresses of the present disclosure and related inventions provide novel combinations of multiple layer, multiple material foam layers or stacks which provide unexpected and improved support characteristics and pressure relief and distribution. By combining multiple layers of polyurethane foams from top to bottom structure of a mattress the conformance properties of polyurethane foam are achieved along with structural support from the underlying core. On the the top convoluted layer is applied throughout magnets and far infrared palettes.
Functionalized latex based foam
An integral latex foam having a first layer foam and a second and/or subsequent layer of latex foam is disclosed. The first layer foam contains an additive that is applied in the form of a solution, emulsion or dispersion. The first layer has a thickness from 0.01 to 9 mm.
MATTRESS COVER WITH MULTIPLE COLORED FIBERS
A mattress cover includes a plurality of fire-retardant fibers and a plurality of non-fire-retardant fibers. The plurality of fire-retardant fibers has a first color. The plurality of non-fire-retardant fibers has a second color. The first color is different from the second color.
DIFFERENTIALLY KNITTED FIRE BARRIER FABRICS, AND MATTRESSES, MATTRESS FOUNDATIONS, AND UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE ARTICLES EMPLOYING SAME
Knitted fire barrier fabrics for use in forming a flame retardant article having a core include, for example, a plurality of flame-retardant yarns formed non-uniformly around a circumference of a knitting textile cylinder in a knitting process so as to define the knitted fire barrier fabric having at least one differential zone of material in a longitudinal direction of the knitting textile cylinder, and wherein the knitted fire barrier fabric being disposable on the core so that the at least one differential zone of material of the knitted fire barrier fabric providing a differential protective capacity to at least one selected portion of the flame retardant article.
MATTRESS CONTAINING MICROENCAPSULATED PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL
A mattress containing a core section, a high loft non-woven layer at least partially covering a first side of the core section and containing a plurality of heat and flame resistant fibers, bulking fibers, and binder fibers, a ticking layer at least partially covering the high loft non-woven layer and containing a textile layer, a pattern coated layer. The pattern coated layer may be printed on the high loft non-woven layer, the ticking layer, or any layer between the high loft non-woven layer and the ticking layer. The pattern coated layer contains a blend of microencapsulated phase change material (PCM) and a binder, wherein the PCM is fully encapsulated by the binder.
Upholstered comfort member
An upholstered comfort member, comprising a resilient comfort material and a cover fabric. The resilient comfort material comprises lignocellulosic fibres, which provides resilient properties to the resilient comfort material, and a binder at a concentration of between 1 and 30 wt %. The binder binds the lignocellulosic fibres together. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing of such an upholstered comfort member.
MATTRESS COVER AND RELATED METHOD
A mattress cover includes a first, face layer, a second, back layer, and third, inlay layer between the face layer and the back layer. The inlay layer is composed of a flame-retardant material. The face layer is attached to the back layer. The inlay layer is not attached to the face layer and the back layer.
Fire-resistant mattress having combustible material compartmentalized between fire-resistant layers
A mattress is disclosed that includes a sleeping side, a cushioning layer, an inner support compartment, and a fire-containing compartment disposed between the sleeping side and the inner support compartment. The fire-containing compartment includes first and second layers of fire-resistant material selected from the group consisting of a barrier sheet, a high loft batt, and a fire-resistant chemical. The cushioning layer is disposed between the first and second layers of fire-resistant material.
Sustainable Modular Mattress System With Subscription Service
A bedding system subscription service that includes providing a selection of mattress cores from which a customer can select for purchase; providing a selection of mattress covers from which the customer can select for use in combination with the selected mattress core; periodically replacing the selected mattress cover with a new mattress cover; and recycling the selected mattress cover after it has been replaced by the new mattress cover.
