Drilling aid apparatuses and methods for drilling a structure are provided. In one example, a drilling aid apparatus includes a bushing holder portion. The bushing holder portion has a first surface for facing a first structure portion, a second surface on a side opposite the first surface, and an opening formed through the bushing holder portion extending from the first surface to the second surface. The opening is configured to receive a bushing that is sized for guiding a drill bit for drilling into the first structure portion. A first coupling member is coupled to the bushing holder portion and is configured to couple to a second structure portion for supporting the bushing holder portion in a fixed position relative to the first structure portion.

Pocket hole jig

A pocket hole jig includes a base having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The base further including a drill bit aperture positioned proximate the first end and extending through a portion of the base. The drill bit aperture oriented at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The pocket hole jig further includes a fence pivotally coupled to the base proximate the second end of the base. The fence including a contact surface, and the fence pivotal about an axis transverse to a longitudinal axis of the drill bit aperture.

RK Jig Guide

A gas meter index repair apparatus with method for removing the gas meter index that has suffered broken attachment screws during the replacement or AMI\AMR upgrade process.

Previously as this damage to the meter index occurred, the only alternatives available were to replace the gas meter or manually drill and tap the broken attachment screws which would allow a high risk of puncturing the gas meter case causing a rapid release of highly flammable and explosive gas. These alternatives would incur multiple premise visits with interrupting the flow of gas to the user.

The RK Jig Guide apparatus connects to the available gas meter index attachment screws and aligns itself with the damaged index cover attachment screws offering perfect alignment to mechanically remove the broken attachment screws allowing their replacement without interrupting the flow of gas to the end user or creating a safety hazard.

This apparatus can be adapted and utilized for most residential gas meter installations. The RK Jig Guide apparatus includes a mounting assembly plate, various index mounting screws, complete detailed written instructions as well as companion video.

The RK Jig Guide is very user friendly and allows the entry level technician, such as a Meter Reader to successfully replace the meter index and cover on the first visit.

Self-adjusting pocket hole jig

A self-adjusting pocket hole jig includes a base having a clamp end and a toggle end, a guide carried by the base and reciprocally movable between a raised position and a lowered position. A clamp assembly is carried by the base and reciprocally movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. An adjustment mechanism is coupled between the guide and the clamp assembly. The adjustment mechanism is arranged to move the clamp assembly in a forward direction to the engaged position and correspondingly move the guide in a downward direction to the lowered position, and arranged to move the clamp assembly in a rearward direction to the disengaged position and correspondingly move the guide in an upward direction to the raised position.

Alignment System, Drilling System, and Method for Drilling a Hole Through a Gang Channel

Example alignment systems for aligning a drill bit with respect to a gang channel and methods of use are described herein. An example alignment system for use with a drill includes a drill block having a guide portion and an attachment portion. The attachment portion is configured to be removably coupled to a foot of the drill such that the drill block is positioned between the foot and a drill bit of the drill. A longitudinal axis of the drill block is coaxial with a longitudinal axis of the drill bit when the attachment portion is coupled to the foot. The guide portion is configured to at least partially contact an inner surface of opposing legs of a gang channel to thereby center the drill bit between the opposing legs of the gang channel.

Pocket hole jig

A pocket hole jig includes base with a base plate and first and second lateral side walls extending along the base plate, and a body disposed between the first and second lateral side walls and slidable along the base in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The body includes a drill bit aperture angled downward toward the base plate. The pocket hole jig also includes a fence movable between a raised position and a lowered position and having a contact surface engageable with an end of the workpiece when the fence is in the lowered position to position the base a predetermined distance from the end of the workpiece. The contact surface is in a first position when the fence is in the raised position and a second position when the fence is in the lowered position. The second position is forward of the first position.
