The two sealing rings each comprise first and second abutment regions as well as a resilient intermediate region arranged therebetween. The first abutment region is bonded to the bearing pin and the second abutment region is bonded to the bearing bush. The intermediate region is elastically deformable relative to the bearing pin and the bearing bush.

Through-coolant vibration dampened machine tool having resilient dampening system
10632583 · 2020-04-28 ·

A resonant frequency dampened through-coolant machine tool for selective mounting to machining systems for precision vibration free machining and has an elongate tool body. An internal dampening chamber is defined within the machine tool body and contains a resonant frequency dampening mass that is moveable within the dampening chamber. Axial and diametrical tunable dampening devices support the dampening mass in spaced relation with internal walls of the dampening chamber. A tuning piston is moveable within the machine tool body and has a tuning flange that is disposed in contact with one of the axial tunable dampening devices. The tuning piston has a pair of oppositely angulated surfaces that are selectively engaged by angulated drive heads of adjustment screws that are supported by threaded openings of the tool body and are rotated to selectively drive the tuning piston forwardly or rearwardly for precise tuning activity. Internal components of the machine tool define a coolant fluid flow passage to conduct a jet of coolant fluid to the metal cutting interface.

Chuck with vibration damping

A tool chuck for clamping a tool in a machine tool, having a base body and a sleeve part protruding therefrom, which sleeve part forms a tool holder for fixing a tool shaft in a frictional, nonpositive fashion; a cavity in which a vibration damping component is accommodated is provided in the tool chuck.

Method for reducing the regenerative chatter of chip-removal machines
10562143 · 2020-02-18 · ·

A method for reducing regenerative chatter in chip-removal machines wherein a tool head (2) machines walls of a workpiece (1) by means of at least one chip-removal tool and during this machining, the tool head is vibrationally excited and a loose additional mass (m.sub.z) is moved by the vibration. The additional mass randomly touches the tool head (2) in first position or randomly has no connection to the tool head (2) in second position, and thus the total mass of the tool head (2) is randomly changed by the amount of the additional mass (m.sub.z). This change in mass of the tool head in turn changes the frequency of vibration.

TOOL HOLDER WITH BUILT-IN CAVITIES
20200016665 · 2020-01-16 ·

A tool holder having a main body for coupling the tool holder to the spindle of a machine tool and having a damping surface connected thereto for clamping a tool, characterized in that the tool holder has at least one portion shaped in one piece by primary shaping, which in its interior has one or more cavities that form an enclave in the portion shaped by primary shaping.
