Pocket hole jig
A pocket hole jig contains: a body, a holder, and a fitting sleeve. The body includes at least one accommodation orifice configured to house a driller, each accommodation orifice tilts downwardly and extends toward a bottom of the body, wherein the body also includes a first marking portion arranged on a first side surface thereof. The holder includes an operation room in which the body is fitted and moves relative to the holder, at least one through groove formed on a bottom of the holder so as to correspond to the at least one accommodation orifice, and a first scale section arranged on a first side surface thereof and aligning with the first marking portion. The fitting sleeve is fitted with the driller, and the holder further includes a depth scale section for measuring depths of holes drilled on wooden workpieces by the driller.
Multi-axis adjustment apparatus for machining a workpiece and associated method
A multi-axis adjustment apparatus configured to machine a workpiece includes a yoke member having a boring guide, which defines a boring axis and receives a boring element therethrough. The yoke member includes a spine cavity extending parallel to the boring axis. A spine member is partially disposed within the spine cavity, and a fixed member disposed under the spine member which extends along a lateral plane and defines a longitudinal axis. An orthogonal adjustment element operably engages the spine member and is configured to displace the yoke member, relative to the spine member and fixed member, along an orthogonal axis extending orthogonally from the lateral plane. A lateral adjustment element operably engages the fixed member and is configured to displace the spine member and yoke member, relative to the fixed member, along a direction parallel to the lateral plane. An associated method is also provided.
Lathe work piece support tool
An adjustable lathe mounting system for turning a work piece on a rotating lathe having a lathe bed, headstock, and a headstock spindle, where the work piece is attached to the headstock spindle. The lathe mounting system includes an adjustable base releasably attached to the slotted way of the bed via a locking plate and a pair of laterally adjustable way spacers moveable within a laterally extending slot that engage each side of the slotted way.
Eddy current vibration absorber assembly for cutting tool
A cutting tool includes a cutting insert mounted to a head attached to a collar at a first end of the cutting tool. A shank is located at a second, opposite end of the cutting tool. A central cavity extends inwardly from the first end toward the shank. An eddy current vibration absorber assembly is disposed within the central cavity. The eddy current vibration absorber assembly includes an absorber mass made of an electrically conductive material, a magnetic material proximate the absorber mass, and a support member for supporting the absorber mass within the central cavity. The eddy current vibration absorber assembly is tuned by selectively adjusting a distance between the absorber mass and the magnetic material.
EDDY CURRENT VIBRATION ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FOR CUTTING TOOL

A central cavity extends inwardly from the first end toward the shank. An eddy current vibration absorber assembly is disposed within the central cavity. The eddy current vibration absorber assembly includes an absorber mass made of an electrically conductive material, a magnetic material proximate the absorber mass, and a support member for supporting the absorber mass within the central cavity. The eddy current vibration absorber assembly is tuned by selectively adjusting a distance between the absorber mass and the magnetic material.
Alignment system and method for vertical lathe
Disclosed is an alignment system for a vertical lathe, the lathe configured to perform a cutting process on a workpiece (W) mounted on a circular turn table (3) by rotating the workpiece (W), and the alignment system configured to, when the lathe performs the cutting process on an unbalanced eccentric workpiece, perform a center alignment operation for correcting imbalance. The alignment system includes an alignment mechanism which includes: multiple alignment weights (13) provided movable along an outer periphery (3a) of the circular turn table (3); and a movement mechanism (15) configured to move the alignment weights along the outer periphery (3a) of the turn table (3). The alignment system further includes a control unit (7) configured to calculate setting positions for the alignment weights (13), and to set the alignment weights (13) at the calculated setting positions using the movement mechanism (15), in order to correct the imbalance.
Locking drill bushing
A drill bushing for a drill unit. In one embodiment, the drill bushing includes a base member having an upper surface, a lower surface configured to rest on a workpiece having a pilot hole, and a retaining member that projects from the lower surface of the base member. The retaining member has a cylindrical outer diameter that fits within the pilot hole. The drill bushing further includes a drill hole that passes from the upper surface of the base member through the retaining member to provide a passage for a drill bit. The drill bushing further includes an expandable slit that passes through the base member and the retaining member to the drill hole, and an adjustment member configured to expand the expandable slit to increase the cylindrical outer diameter of the retaining member within the pilot hole.
