A seat includes linear members extending along a longitudinal direction of hanging portions of a skin and provided at the hanging portion, and elastically deformable tubular members provided inside grooves of a pad so as to extend along the groove. A slit is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the tubular member, the slit extending in a longitudinal direction of the tubular member, having a width narrower than an outer diameter of the linear member, and enabling the width to be expanded by elastic deformation of the tubular member.

An upholstered sofa comprises a sofa frame covered with fitted upholstery. The fitted upholstery provided by a form fit upholstery cover or covers formed of upholstery material and comprising stitched upholstery panels and pieces, the cover having upholstery edge portions with attachment means for securement of the edge portion without staples to the sofa frame. The attachment means may be a resilient polymer channel sewn to the upholstery material. The attachment means may be a plurality of elastic cords with connectors on distal ends of the cords. A system may include an access engine and a foam part generation engine. The access engine may be configured to access a computer-aided design (CAD) seat surface that represents a seat surface of a seat design and access seat parameters for the seat design. The foam part generation engine may be configured to construct a CAD foam part for the seat design based on the CAD seat surface and the seat parameters.

In a clip for engagement of an outer layer, the outer layer covering a foam member in a state held by the foam member being caught to a foam member side by engagement of an engaged portion provided at a rear side of the outer layer, the clip includes a base configured to be held by the foam member, a pair of projection walls erected on the base and facing each other, engagement portions extending from the projection walls in a width direction of the projection walls, and arranged to be swingable substantially parallel to the base or horizontally, wherein the engaged portion is configured to be sandwiched between the engagement portions to elastically engage. Accordingly, since the engagement portion bends horizontally relative the base, the overall height can be made low.

The seat cushion of the vehicle seat includes a frame structure, a support member supported by the frame structure within the frame structure to resiliently support an occupant, a pad provided on a proximal side of the frame structure and the support member, and a skin member covering the pad. The support member is provided with plurality of engagement portions engaging end parts of the skin member.

Provided is a vehicle seat that allows engagement holes for engaging an end part of the skin member to be provided without burdening the seat frame design. The sofa armrest includes a main body made by blow molding, the upper end of the inner side surface of the main body is recessed inward to form a fabric mounting groove for mounting armrest fabric, and the lower end of the inner side surface of the main body is provided with clamping-connection grooves for being connected with connectors of a sofa underframe. The sofa armrest is made by a blow molding process, and compared with traditional solid sofa armrests, the sofa armrest has the advantages of low weight, high production speed and less manufacturing materials; when the armrest fabric is squeezed and deformed, debris accumulates on the lower wall of the fabric mounting groove or on a seat cover fabric, cleaning of dust and debris is facilitated, and the overall hygiene of a sofa is maintained.

A vehicle seat includes a pad having an air passage, a skin material, and a skin locking clip embedded in the pad and configured to tuck in a prescribed linear portion of the skin material. The pad includes a main body member in which the skin locking clip is embedded, an intermediate layer member arranged on the main body member, and a surface layer member arranged on the intermediate layer member. The main body member includes a linear bulging portion extending along the linear portion and bulging so as to define a plane substantially identical to a surface of the surface layer member, and the skin material is tucked in by the skin locking clip at a portion extending further from the surface layer member than the linear bulging portion.
