Tube scraper with biased blades
A tube scraping apparatus comprises a body having a passageway for receiving a piping component; and a first blade and a second blade. The first blade and second blade each: are mounted to the body and shiftable between a first condition and a second condition; and having an engagement portion positioned to engage an outer diameter (OD) surface of the received piping component in at least one condition, the first blade engagement portion comprising a cutting edge for removing material from the OD surface. The second blade engagement portion comprises a partial thread for engaging the piping component to convert a rotation of the piping component relative to the body to an axial movement of the piping component relative to the body.
VARIABLE LENGTH TOOL HOLDER
A tool holder includes a main body defining a body axis and comprising a witness hole extending perpendicular to the body axis; an extension within the main body along the body axis; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the extension along the body axis relative to the main body when the extension is visible through the witness hole. A length of the tool holder can be defined by moving the extension between various witness holes in the main body. The tool holder comprises a head configured to receive at least one tool.
Mandrel and accessory for rotary tool
A rotary tool mandrel includes a shaft, locking projections, a collar, and a fastener. The shaft extends along a longitudinal axis and includes a distal end. The locking projections protrude radially relative to the longitudinal axis and positioned on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis from one another. Each of the locking projections define a locking projection outer profile that is rectilinear. The collar is coupled to the shaft and includes a pair of coupling projections protruding from a surface of the collar adjacent the distal end of the shaft. The coupling projections are angularly offset from the locking projections with respect to the longitudinal axis. Each of the coupling projections define a coupling projection that is rectilinear. The fastener is coupled to the shaft and movable relative to the shaft along the longitudinal axis, and movement of the fastener causes the locking projections to move toward the coupling projections.
CHUCK ASSEMBLY FOR A ROTARY POWER TOOL
A method of operating a power tool chuck assembly includes inserting a tool bit within a central bore of a chuck body, displacing a plurality of jaws with the tool bit from an extended position to a retracted position, displacing the jaws from the retracted position toward the extended position with a spring, rotating a tightening sleeve about a rotational axis in a tightening direction, thereby imparting an axial displacement to the tightening sleeve relative to the chuck body, inwardly displacing a plurality of clamping nuts in a radial direction in response to engagement between a wedge defined on the tightening sleeve and the clamping nuts, causing respective threads on the clamping nuts and the jaws to engage, and applying a clamping force on the tool bit with the jaws in response to continued rotation of the tightening sleeve in the tightening direction.
EJECTOR DRILL SYSTEM
A drilling head for a tubular shank having an inside diameter and threads may comprise an axial body comprising a duct exiting through a first end; threads adjacent the first end corresponding to the threads on the shank and aligning the duct with the shank inside diameter; a bore from an outer surface of the body to the duct; and two axially extending approximately parallel and offset surfaces adjacent a second end; and an insert affixed between the offset surfaces, the insert comprising: a first face at least partially contacting one offset surface and a second face at least partially contacting the other offset surface; one or more cutting edges adjacent the first face, the second face, or both; and a cutting lip adjacent one or more cutting edges.
CLAMPING BUSHING AND CLAMPING DEVICE
The invention relates to a clamping bushing (21) for clamping in a bore (3) of a component (2), in particular of a workpiece to be clamped, wherein the clamping bushing (21) is radially contracted in a relaxed state such that the clamping bushing (21) can be inserted into the bore (3) and pulled out of the bore (3), whereas the clamping bushing (21) is radially expanded in a stressed state such that the lateral surface of the clamping bushing (21) forms a mechanical connection to the inner wall of the bore (3). According to the invention, the mechanical connection between the lateral surface of the clamping bushing (21) and the inner wall of the bore (3) is positive-locking and consists of a threaded connection. The invention further relates to a corresponding clamping device (1). An essential feature of the invention is also the possibility of being able to exchange the clamping bolt (tension anchor) by means of a bayonet coupling without having to open hydraulic lines and without removing the clamping element from the device.
Chuck assembly for a rotary power tool
A chuck assembly, for use with a rotary power tool, includes a chuck body rotatable about an axis, a plurality of jaws supported by the chuck body for relative movement therewith between a retracted position for permitting insertion of a tool bit within the chuck body and an extended position for clamping the tool bit, a plurality of clamping nuts surrounding the chuck body and having interior threads engageable with corresponding threads on the respective jaws, a tightening sleeve surrounding and threadably engaged with the chuck body for relative rotation therewith, and a wedge defined on the tightening sleeve for selective engagement with the clamping nuts for inwardly displacing the clamping nuts, causing the respective threads on the clamping nuts and jaws to engage, in response to rotation of the tightening sleeve relative to the chuck body in a tightening direction.
Manual drilling apparatus equipped with a device for control of advance
A manual drilling apparatus equipped with a device for control of advance, which includes a fixed part and a mobile part with movement of translation relative to the fixed part during the drilling, as well as a system for control of the movement of translation of the mobile part relative to the fixed part, wherein the fixed part and the mobile part comprise respectively at least one fixed tube and at least one mobile tube which slide relative to one another, the fixed and mobile tubes being coaxial to the axis of rotation of the tool supported by the apparatus.
ASSEMBLY-TYPE CUTTER
An assembly-type cutter includes a shank and a cutter head. The shank has a hole at one end. The hole has a receiving portion, which includes an internal thread and can be treated thermally for increased rigidity. The connecting portion includes a threaded member and can also be treated thermally for increased rigidity. The cutter head and the shank are threadedly connectable via the connecting portion and the receiving portion. The threaded member includes a body portion, whose diameter is defined as a root diameter, and an external thread on the body portion. The body portion is slightly tapered such that a locus of the root diameter is inclined.
