FIRMLY ASSEMBLED CUTTER HOLDING ASSEMBLY
A cutter holding assembly has a holder, a cutter, and a tightening positioning assembly. The holder has a first positioning recess. The cutter is connected to the holder and has a second positioning recess. The tightening positioning assembly has a positioning block, two tightening elements, and an adjusting element. The positioning block is mounted in the first positioning recess of the holder and the second positioning recess of the cutter. The tightening elements are mounted in two opposite sides of the positioning block. The adjusting element is mounted in the positioning block at a position between the two tightening elements. The adjusting element has a conical abutting surface for pushing the tightening elements to move opposite to each other to abut the opposite side surfaces of one of the first and the second positioning recesses while axially moving. The cutter can be firmly connected to the holder.
ROTARY CUTTING HEAD HAVING CUTTING EDGES EXTENDING PAST KEY ACTUATING PORTION
A replaceable milling head rotatable in a cutting direction about a longitudinal central axis, the central axis defining a forward direction and an opposite rearward direction, has a forward cutting portion and a rear threaded coupling portion for coupling to a shank. The cutting portion includes two or more key actuating portions which assist in mounting the milling head onto the shank. The cutting portion includes a plurality of helical chip flutes alternating with cutting edges. At least one or more of the cutting edges and flutes extend axially rearward of at least a portion of the key actuating portions.
Subsea processing machine comprising a tool holder with a change hub for receiving rotary tools
In order to mill, drill, saw or the like in the offshore sector, subsea processing machines are used which comprise a tool holder with a change hub for receiving at least one rotary tool, such as for instance a milling cutter, saw, drill or the like. The tool holder preferably has a carrier body for receiving the tool hub, wherein the latter comprises a hub flange for receiving tools. The preferably centric hub ring of the change hub can be arranged on the carrier body of the tool holder and can be connected to the tool holder in such a manner as to be able to be detached and clamped by means of at least one locking apparatus.
MILLING CUTTER
A milling cutter includes a front end part and a back end part. The front end part includes a disc-shaped cutter body having a front side, a rear side, a central axis, and a number of insert seats. A primary holding member extends from the rear side. The back end part includes a secondary holding member, which engages the primary holding member when the front and back end parts are mounted to each other. The disc-shaped cutter body has a central cylindrical aperture extending coaxially with the central axis and including an inner cylindrical surface. An outer cylindrical surface is provided on a front portion of the secondary holding member. The inner cylindrical surface abuts the outer cylindrical surface in an abutting region between the front and the rear sides to center the front and back end parts.
Milling head having integrally formed cutting edges and rotary milling tool
A rotary milling tool has a tool holder and a milling head releasably attached thereto. The milling head has a plurality of angularly spaced apart peripherally disposed cutting edges which form an effective cutting edge. The milling head has a head through recess opening out to the head forward and rearward surfaces. The recess includes a centering region and a driven region, the driven region being axially forward of, and non-identical to, the centering region. The driven region has at least one driven surface facing opposite a rotational direction. The centering region has at least one radially inwardly facing radial centering surface located axially rearward of, and radially outward from, the at least one driven surface. The two opposing extremities of the effective cutting edge define two parallel planes respectively between which both the at least one driven surface and the at least one radial centering surface are disposed.

Rotary tool for lower receiver manufacturing
A rotary tool can be adapted for removing material from a workpiece such as a lower receiver. A rotary tool can have an adapter with a major diameter, and a cutter head with a minor diameter. The major diameter of the adapter can reduce deflection and chatter, while the minor diameter of the cutter head can be used to manufacture lower receivers with accuracy. The rotary tool can be adapted to be engaged with a rotary power tool.
