The cutter head and the shank are threadedly connectable via the connecting portion and the receiving portion. The threaded member includes a body portion, whose diameter is defined as a root diameter, and an external thread on the body portion. The body portion is slightly tapered such that a locus of the root diameter is inclined.
TOOL HOLDER
A tool holder for rotary cutting tools is described. The tool holder comprises an axis of rotation, a body having a receptacle for the rotary cutting tool, the receptacle extending coaxially with the axis of rotation, and at least one coolant channel terminating in an opening and adapted to conduct coolant to the rotary cutting tool via the opening. The coolant channel extends through an axial protrusion and the tool holder has an adjusting mechanism which is adjustable between a first position, in which the opening is at a first radial distance from the axis of rotation, and a second position, in which the opening is at a second, different radial distance from the axis of rotation, the axial protrusion being elastically deflected in the second position relative to the first position by the adjusting mechanism.
ROTARY CUTTING TOOL ASSEMBLY
The present invention relates to a rotary cutting tool assembly comprising a toolholder which has a central tool holding receptacle, and a cutting tool which has a holding projection that can be detachably held in the tool holding receptacle and via which the cutting tool is secured to and radially centered on the tool, wherein the holding projection has at its free end a pin-like, first centering section and an adjoining externally threaded section, wherein the holding projection ends in a radially outwardly projecting shoulder having an end face abutment surface, and the tool holding receptacle has an internally threaded section for receiving the externally threaded section and a first centering seat section which is positioned deeper within the tool holding receptacle and in which the centering section of the cutting tool is held.
Tool holder
A tool holder has a main body and a holding pin onto which a rotary tool having a corresponding holding bore can be placed. At least one channel for transporting coolant or lubricant, the channel leading to the outer circumference of the holding pin, is arranged in the tool holder. In order to enable cooling of the cutting edges of the rotary tool without great production complexity, at least one longitudinal groove for conducting the coolant or lubricant in a longitudinal direction of the holding pin is arranged on the outer circumference of the holding pin.
SCREWING TOOL AND TOOL HOLDER WITH SUBDIVIDED SUPPORT SECTION
A screwing tool includes a tool head and a tool shaft having an external thread. A first support section is disposed between the tool head and the external thread, and a second support section is disposed between the external thread and a free end of the tool shaft. The second support section has radially outwardly projecting supporting elements that are disposed at a distance from each other in the circumferential direction.
ASSEMBLY FOR MACHINING WORKPIECES
An arrangement for machining workpieces includes a machining tool (1) having a cutting edge region (3) and a shank (30), the shank (30) having a conical shank region (5) and a receiving region (4) arranged adjacent to the shank region (5), a tool extension (2) having a conical receiving region (21), the conical shank region (5) and the conical receiving region (21) being designed complementary to each other such that the machining tool (1) is held between the conical shank region (5) and the conical receiving region (21) exclusively by means of a force-fitting connection in the tool extension (2), a tool holding device (15) for receiving the tool extension (2). The tool holding device (15) is adapted to be connected to a rotatable spindle of a machine tool. The cutting edge region (3) has a maximum diameter D1 in a plane E perpendicular to a center axis X.
Machining apparatus
A machining apparatus capable of performing chamfering with high precision is provided. A machining unit 13 is provided at a distal end portion 12a of an arm 12 of an articulated robot 11, and the machining unit 13 includes a profiling roller 57, which serves as a roller that abuts against a part to be profiled Wd of a workpiece W, and a rotatable tool 41 having an axis line 41a having a distance between the rotatable tool 41 and the profiling roller 57 in conformity with a width of the workpiece W (width of a band-like portion Wc) and extending in parallel with an axis line 57a corresponding to a support axis of the profiling roller 57, and the rotatable tool 41 includes cutting blades 41b or blade portions 73 and 73 as chamfering blades.
Cutting head and cutting tool having a replaceable cutting head
A cutting head for a cutting tool includes a cutting portion and a shank portion. The cutting portion has a plurality of integrally formed cutting edges and the shank portion has a first end adjacent the cutting portion and a second end. The first portion of the shank portion is closer to the first end of the shank portion than the second and third portions of the shank portion and the third portion of the shank portion is disposed closer to the second end of the shank portion than the first and second portions. The first portion of the shank portion has an exterior surface including at least one axially extending recess extending from an end of the first portion closest to the second portion toward the first end of the shank portion. The cutting head is formed of a pressed and sintered cemented carbide material.
