Described herein is a hip extension device adapted to be worn by a user. The device is secured adjacent to the hip of a user and forms a ledge-like resting surface for the supporting of objects for carrying. The device includes an inner structural member comprised of hingedly coupled rigid plates movable from an open position to a closed position. A removable cover portion is placed around the inner structural member and allows a user access to an inner cavity for the storage of items. A clip portion is coupled to the device to allow for securing to the user's clothing against their body side. To offer additional support, the device may include a strap.

A child restraint configured to be securable to and separable from a base installed in a vehicle, the child restraint comprising an illuminator positioned on an external portion of the child restraint, configured to operate in a first mode, illuminating a first region external to the child restraint wherein, in the event that the child restraint is not secured to the base, and the child restraint is moved, the illuminator will be activated in its first mode, illuminating the first region external to the child restraint for the purpose of aiding securement to the base, and wherein in the event that the child restraint is secured to the base, the first mode will be deactivated

The basket includes a bottom wall, a first end wall, a pair of sidewalls, a second end wall, a crotch panel and a back support panel. The crotch panel and the back support panel are located in the basket between the first and second end walls. Each is configured to be pivoted from a stowed position, when the device is holding an infant carrier, to an operative position when the device is directly supporting the infant. In the operative position the infant's back will rest against the back support panel and his/her legs will extend through opening in the crotch panel and a window in the first end wall.

An adjusting mechanism includes a first engaging component, a second engaging component and a third engaging component is applied to a child carrier including a supporting component and a seating component. The first engaging component is detachably disposed on the supporting component. The second engaging component is disposed on the seating component. The third engaging component is movably located between the first engaging component and the second engaging component in a switchable manner. The second engaging component drives the third engaging component to move between a first position and a second position. An adjusting mechanism includes a first engaging component, a second engaging component and a third engaging component is applied to a child carrier including a supporting component and a seating component. The first engaging component is detachably disposed on the supporting component. The second engaging component is disposed on the seating component. The third engaging component is movably located between the first engaging component and the second engaging component in a switchable manner. The second engaging component drives the third engaging component to move between a first position and a second position. The third engaging component moves to the first position to engage with the first engaging component so as to constrain relative movement between the seating component and the supporting component. The third engaging component moves to the second position to be separated from the first engaging component and the seating component can rotate relative to the supporting component.

An access-optimized infant support device comprising a lower support frame and a seat or resting portion supported on the lower support frame, whereby the lower support frame maintains the seat or resting portion at a height allowing a line-of-sight eye-contact interaction between an infant on the seat or resting portion and an adult seated at a standard dining table, and also allows close proximity between the infant on the seat or resting portion and an adult seated on a standard sofa.
