Portable In-Line Hydraulic Tool
A portable, hand held hydraulic cutting tool having an in-line handle assembly and a working head assembly. The handle assembly has a tool frame portion and a neck portion. The working head assembly has a pair of jaw members joined so that they are movable relative to each other and held in place by a locking pin. Each jaw member has a cutting blade attached thereto. Each jaw member can be tapered and can include weight reducing pockets defined in respective sidewalls. Each jaw member includes a raised tab on an outside edge that mates with a respective tab notch in a yoke of the neck portion of the handle assembly. When the locking pin is in an extended position, the jaw members of the tool can separate and rotate away from one another until their respective locking tabs engage their respective locking tab opening, connecting the jaw members to the yoke of the neck portion of the handle assembly.
Heavy duty material processor
Heavy-duty material processors (e.g., shears, concrete crushers) include a jaw that pivotally connects to another jaw. A hydraulic cylinder extends between the jaws to open and close the jaws in a shearing motion. Cutting/shearing/crushing blade inserts mount to detachable blade holders, which in turn mount to one of the jaws. Wedge blocks securely and detachably attach the blade inserts to the remainder of their associated jaw, and rely on force-amplifying wedge surfaces to ensure a secure attachment. The detachable blade holders may include lateral flanges that extend across an otherwise exposed face of their respective underlying jaw bodies to protect the jaw bodies during use. A blade on one of the jaws is laterally adjustable, which helps to free a jam if one of the jaws gets jammed into the space between blades in the other jaw.
WORKPIECE SHEARING APPARATUS
A shearing apparatus includes a housing, dies within the housing, a force transmitting apparatus; and a die engaging mechanism between the force transmitting apparatus and the movable die. The dies are movable relative to each other and have cutouts which cut a workpiece. The die engaging mechanism is releasable to decouple the force transmitting apparatus from the movable die.
Cable cutter
A cable cutter includes stationary and moveable clamps, each comprising a respective pivot opening and a cutting edge spaced from the pivot opening. A pivot joint connects the clamps to allow the movable clamp to pivot about a pivot axis relative to the stationary clamp. The pivot joint includes a threaded connector having a head and a shank extending from the head along the pivot axis through the pivot openings in the clamps. A collar has opposing faces and an opening extending through the collar. A nut is threaded on the shank and the clamps are sandwiched between the head and the collar with the head adjacent one of the clamps. The collar is engaged to rotate with the shank the about the pivot axis.
Wire cutting tool
A cutting tool includes a housing, a head assembly disposed on the housing and carrying a first blade. A cam drive mechanism is disposed within the housing. The cam drive mechanism carries a second blade opposed to the first blade. A motor drives the cam drive mechanism. A battery pack is electrically connected to the motor. The cam drive mechanism moves the second blade towards the first blade, so that a wire disposed between the first and second blades receives a cutting force of less than 12 kiloNewton. The cam drive mechanism may include a spindle driven by the motor, a radial cam fixed to the spindle, a roller assembly contacting the radial cam, and a shuttle connected to the roller assembly, the shuttle being movable in a reciprocating motion and carrying the second blade.
Shear blade and cutting device
A shear blade is for a portable hydraulic cutting device having a blade body. The blade body has assembly and cutting regions, with a cutting edge in the cutting region. A contact surface is on one side of the cutting edge for an additional shear blade. An outer surface on the other side of the cutting edge acts on the object to be cut. A first surface portion of the outer surface extends away from the cutting edge along an orthogonal, which meets the contact surface at the cutting edge, or at an acute angle relative to the orthogonal. A second surface portion connects to the first surface portion at an acute angle to the orthogonal. A third surface portion connects to the second surface portion at an acute angle to the orthogonal. Angle is smaller than angle , which is smaller than angle .
Device for changing a blade on shears, in particular for a rolled band, and shears with at least one replaceable blade
A device for changing a blade on shears, in particular for a rolled band, and to such shears in which a blade can be fixed to at least one blade support automatically by a tie bar pretensioned by a force accumulator. The device includes at least one adjusting element which can be actuated in order to release the blade from the blade support such that the tie rod is moved in an axial direction against the tie rod pretension. The adjusting element can be arranged on an outer face of the blade support or outside of the blade support.
ASSEMBLY FOR SUPPORTING AND SHEARING A WORKPIECE
An assembly in accordance with some example embodiments includes a support structure, first and second plates coupled to the support structure, and a shearing apparatus operable to cut a workpiece between ends of the workpiece. The first plate engages and guides a first end of a workpiece, and the second plate engages and guides a second end of the workpiece. The shearing apparatus includes a stationary die and a movable die and coupled to the support structure between the first plate and the second plate.
TOOL FOR CUTTING A WORKPIECE
A tool configured to cut a workpiece includes a tool head which has a receiving contour in which the workpiece is received, and a movable cutting edge with a cutting contour. In the course of a cutting process, the cutting edge passes through the receiving contour. The cutting edge is subjected to the effect of an advancement part and can be moved to such an extent in the cutting direction(s) that it can pass all the way through the workpiece. In an embodiment, a position of the cutting edge reached after the cutting edge has passed all the way through the workpiece, the cutting edge, with removal from the advancement part, can be moved out from the cutting direction(s).
