In conventional fluid discharge devices, a discharge head used should be increased in size according to increase in size of a workpiece such as silicon wafer. However, if the discharge head increases in length, a deformation amount of a mask used for discharging the fluid on the workpiece increases, thereby the discharging amount varies. Discharging the fluid in a reciprocating manner is performed using a fluid discharging device including a head unit having a width shorter than a length of the workpiece. A suction port having opening portions each having a slit shape are disposed on the both sides of the discharge nozzle in a vicinity of the discharge nozzle.

The invention relates to a method for operating a soldering system for selective wave soldering comprising at least one solder crucible, the solder crucible comprising a solder reservoir, a solder nozzle and a solder pump, the solder pump being designed to guide the liquid solder out from the solder reservoir through the solder nozzle for generating a standing wave from liquid solder. The invention relates, in particular, to a method for cleaning a solder nozzle comprising the following steps: conveying solder from the solder reservoir at a first pump capacity which is adjusted in such a way that a standing wave of liquid solder is generated at a solder level which is below an upper edge of the nozzle outlet of the solder nozzle; introducing a cleaning agent into the nozzle outlet of the solder nozzle; increasing the pumping capacity of the solder pump to a second pump capacity such that the cleaning agent flows over the upper edge of the nozzle such that the cleaning agent is guided to an outer side of the solder nozzle.
SCREEN PRINTING MACHINE
A screen printing machine configured to print solder onto a surface of a circuit board using a screen mask. The screen printing machine is provided with: a screen mask arranged at a top side of the circuit board; a box member arranged at an underside of the circuit board including a space that is closed by the circuit board; a negative pressure generator connected to the space of the box member and configured to create negative pressure inside the space; a sensor configured to detect a pressure inside the space; and a control device configured to control the negative pressure generator based on the pressure detected by the sensor.
A SOLDER PASTE FEEDING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
The present application provides a method for providing solder paste, for providing solder paste accommodated in a solder paste tub into a solder paste printer, the method comprising: inserting a solder paste nozzle into a housing of the solder paste tub through an opening of the solder paste tub, wherein solder paste is accommodated in the housing of the solder paste tub; bearing the solder paste tub, with the opening facing downward, on a working platform by means of the solder paste nozzle; holding the solder paste tub by mating a holder with an engagement means on an outer wall of the housing of the solder paste tub, the holder being capable of moving up and down with the housing of the solder paste tub; and pressing the housing of the solder paste tub, such that the housing of the solder paste tub moves relative to the solder paste nozzle, at the same time causing the holder to move as the housing of the solder paste tub moves, so as to extrude solder paste accommodated in the housing of the solder paste tub from the solder paste nozzle.

An apparatus and method for filling a ball grid array template and a method for transferring a plurality of balls are disclosed. The apparatus includes a flat base, a plate and a stationary ball supply bin. The plate is mounted on the base and configured to be rotatable about a first axis perpendicular to the base. An upper surface of the plate includes a plurality of holes forming the ball grid array template. The stationary ball supply bin is mounted to the base. The base is configured to be inclined at an angle relative to a horizontal plane. The ball supply bin is configured in use to dispense a plurality of balls onto the corresponding plurality of holes forming the ball grid array template as the plate is rotated about the first axis.
Solder handling apparatus
A solder feed structure has a solder exit aperture with an elongated shape. The elongated shape can help reduce the incidence of clogging, as it has a dimension that is significantly larger than the wire diameter of solder. The solder feed structure has a bent segment leading up to the solder exit aperture. The arc of the bent segment can cause the solder wire to be in a stable position at one end of the elongated shape of the solder exit aperture instead of wobbling within the solder exit aperture.
