The covering device comprises at least a cover, which is controllable in an active configuration, in which the cover is configured to cover one between the first work space and the second work space and a guide system, which is configured to guide the cover so that the cover, when it is in the active configuration, comprises at least a main portion and an auxiliary portion extending from the main portion and being inclined relative to the main portion.

WELDING ASSISTANCE DEVICE WITH A WELDING MASK HAVING A VELOCITY SENSOR

A welding assistance device comprises a welding mask, a welding velocity sensor attached on the welding mask and configured to detect a welding velocity; a visualization device attached to the welding mask and arranged to show a representation of the welding velocity and of consequent heat input to a welder.

MONITORING SYSTEM EMPLOYING SMART GLOVES TO ANALYZE OPERATOR FABRICATION ACTIVITIES
20230166366 · 2023-06-01 ·

A method and apparatus includes a monitor in communication with, e.g., a work glove with built-in sensors to track an operator's physical activities including intermittently using hand tools, hand motion, and position or location in a work area. The sensors provide time-series data representative of the activities, and the monitor classifies and sequences the activities based on the time-series data along with, optionally, machine tool operational data. The classified and sequenced activities may then compared to instructed work procedures, ensuring correct work materials are used in production, and ensuring an operator's safety by detecting unsafe or abnormal work conditions.

Arc Gouging Box

A gouging box for safely removing debris and exhaust from the site of arc gouging work. The gouging box is a rigid open-bottomed frame having at least one access opening for insertion of a user's arm, a transparent viewing window, air inlet means, and an exhaust port. Fire retardant materials may cover the arm openings, and extend below the lower edges of the frame. A slag containment and air filtration unit may be added to the exhaust port to collect slag and reduce smoke in the work area.

WELDING-TYPE SYSTEMS AND USER INTERFACES HAVING A COLOR DISPLAY FOR DISPLAYING PHYSICAL SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

Welding-type systems and user interfaces having a color display for displaying physical setup instructions are disclosed. Example interface devices include a process selection input device, a display device, a memory, and a processor. The memory stores weld connection setup graphics and physical welding connections. Each of the plurality of weld connection setup graphics is a graphic of a perspective view of a power supply. The processor, in response to identifying a selected welding process type via the welding process selection input device, displays one of the plurality of the weld connection setup graphics via the display device. The processor detects a physical welding connection made at the power supply, determines, based on the detected physical welding connection, that the detected physical welding connection is incorrect for the selected welding process type, and displays an alert on the display device to indicate an error in the detected physical welding connection.

Electrical assemblies for a welding system

A welding system includes a protective cover selectively movable between a first position and a second position. While in the first position the protective cover is configured to block environmental elements from contacting a display, and while in the second position the protective cover is not configured to block environmental elements from contacting the display. The welding system also includes control circuitry configured to detect whether the protective cover is in the first position or the second position.

MACHINE LEARNING APPARATUS FOR LEARNING CONDITION FOR STARTING LASER MACHINING, LASER APPARATUS, AND MACHINE LEARNING METHOD

The machine learning apparatus includes: a state data observing unit which observes state data of the laser apparatus, including data output from a reflected light detecting unit for measuring a reflected light amount; an operation result acquiring unit which acquires a success/failure result indicating whether the machining has been started successfully by the laser beam output from a laser oscillator; a learning unit which learns light output command data by associating the light output command data with the state data of the laser apparatus and the success/failure result of the machining start; and a decision making unit which determines the light output command data by referring to the light output command data learned by the learning unit.
