Column rotator
A rotator is disclosed. The rotator includes a base and a mounting ring supported by the base. The rotator further includes a plurality of rollers on which the mounting ring rests when the rotator is fully assembled. The rotator is configured to support a steel column and allow rotation of the steel column to facilitate fabrication of the steel column.
Bus bar and power storage module
A bus bar includes a metal plate material. A plate face of the metal plate material includes a recessed portion. An inner wall of the recessed portion includes a first light-receiving face that is inclined relative to the plate face so as to receive a laser light beam L1 extending in a direction perpendicular to the plate face, and a second light-receiving face for receiving the laser light beam L1 that has reflected off the first light-receiving face.
PROFILE MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A method for manufacturing a profile member for a suspended ceiling system, comprising forming a sheet metal material into an elongate T-shaped profile member with a web having two web side walls and a pair of oppositely disposed flanges projecting from a bottom portion of the web, and laser welding the elongate T-shaped profile member for providing a laser weld joint extending in a longitudinal direction of the T-shaped profile member and joining the two web side walls to each other. The step of laser welding comprises alternatingly performing a first operation and a second operation, the second operation being different from the first operation, whereby a laser weld joint is provided comprising along its extension alternating welded first sections associated to the first operation and second sections associated to the second operation. The present invention also relates to an elongate profile member provided with a laser weld joint.
RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A WELDED STRUCTURE
There is provided a resistance spot welding apparatus including a first rod-shaped electrode body, second rod-shaped electrode body, first ring-shaped member, second ring-shaped member, first elastic body, and second elastic body. The first rod-shaped electrode body and second rod-shaped electrode body are arranged facing each other, the first rod-shaped electrode body is inserted into a through hole of the first ring-shaped member, the first elastic body is connected to an opposite side of first ring-shaped member to second rod-shaped electrode body side, the first rod-shaped electrode body and first ring-shaped member are not electrically connected to each other, the second rod-shaped electrode body is inserted into a through hole of the second ring-shaped member, the second elastic body is connected to an opposite side of second ring-shaped member to first rod-shaped electrode body side, and the second rod-shaped electrode body and second ring-shaped member are not electrically connected each other.
ROBOTICS FOR WELDING OF COLUMNS
The present invention provides improved systems for supporting and translating a robotic welder around a structural column to perform automatic welding of joints. The improved system permits a robotic welder to perform the required welds in at least half the time it would take a human welder, thereby significantly reducing construction costs, improving safety of construction, and improving accuracy of welding, and requiring less testing of the welds.
Beam structure and hybrid welding method thereof
A beam structure includes a lower cover plate, an upper cover plate and two side web plates jointed between the upper cover plate and the lower cover plate; wherein the two side web plates are arranged perpendicularly to the upper cover plate and the lower cover plate, respectively, to form a hollow box-shaped structure; rib plates protruding outwardly with a plurality of plug heads are welded within the box-shaped structure; the plug heads are respectively plugged in the upper cover plate, the two side web plates and the lower cover plate, and each plugging joint is fixed by laser-MAG hybrid welding from outside of the box-shaped structure. The method includes: assembling two side web plates, rib plates and a lower cover plate on an upper cover plate to form a box-shaped structure; and welding each of joints from outside of the box-shaped structure by laser-MAG hybrid welding.
SPARK CAPTURE SYSTEM FOR USE WITH CUTTING TORCH
A spark absorbing system for use with a cutting torch, comprises a cap having at least one spark opening therethrough and a spark capture unit coupled to the cap and positioned to capture sparks passing through the spark opening. The spark capture unit may comprise a tube extending from the cap and may include an outlet and a flow-reduction element positioned between the cap and the outlet and/or a spark accumulator between the cap and the spark capture unit. The flow-reduction element may comprise at least one baffle, screen or mesh. The spark absorbing system may further include a spark ramp extending from the cap opposite the spark capture unit and/or a shield, which may define a cutting space between the shield and the cap.
GALVONIZED MULTI-TUBULAR BEAM AND METHOD OF CONTINUOUSLY FORMING THE SAME
A galvanized reinforcement beam is continuously formed by uncoiling a roll of galvanized sheet stock in a generally horizontal plane. Protrusions are formed at an upper surface of the sheet stock, which is then roll formed to form a tubular shape with the protrusions abutting a surface of the sheet stock to form venting gaps. The sheet stock is laser welded at the protrusions to continuously form a weld joint, where zinc oxide gas generated from the welding is permitted to escape an interior of the tubular shape through the venting gaps.
Lap fillet arc-welded joint
A lap fillet arc-welded joint produced by overlapping two metal sheets and welding an end portion of one sheet of the two metal sheets to a surface of the other sheet along the end portion of the one sheet includes a protruding curved potion being bead-shaped and protruding from the surface of the other sheet; and a weld toe positioned on a top portion of the protruding curved portion.
