Method for joining a functional module, and functional module
A method of joining a functional module comprises the steps of providing a frame structure that defines a bearing channel with at least one circumferentially closed bearing seat; providing at least two attachment parts; providing a hollow shaft that comprises at least one support section for the at least two attachment parts, wherein the attachment parts comprise a mounting seat that is adapted to a support section; feeding the attachment parts in the bearing channel in a first feeding direction; feeding the hollow shaft in the bearing channel in a second feeding direction, wherein the hollow shaft is inserted into the respective mounting seat of the at least two attachment parts; and, subsequent to the feeding of the attachment parts and the hollow shaft in the bearing channel, at least sectionally widening the hollow shaft for a torsionally rigid fixation of the at least two attachment parts with their mounting seats at the respective support section of the hollow shaft.
High security fastener with buckled shroud retainer
An improved fastener comprising a fastener body having a tool-engaging portion, a threaded fastening portion and a shroud-receiving body portion; a shroud concentrically mounted on the shroud-receiving body portion and having an inner surface facing an outer surface of the shroud-receiving body portion; the inner surface of the shroud comprising an annular groove and the shroud-receiving body portion comprising a substantially arch-shaped axially-buckled radially-extending annular protrusion extending outwardly transverse to the central axis and disposed in the annular groove of the shroud; and the annular protrusion and annular groove of the shroud forming a shroud-retaining element restraining the shroud from movement in at least a first axial direction along the central axis such that the shroud will rotate relative to the fastener body under an applied external torque prior to the fastener body rotating when the fastener is engaged with an external structure at a design installation torque.
Fluid pressure device and method for manufacturing same
A fluid pressure cylinder. A first stepped section having a greater diameter than a cylinder chamber is formed at one end of a cylinder tube constituting a fluid pressure cylinder. A disc-shaped head cover is inserted into the cylinder chamber. The one end is pressed and plastically deformed by a staking jig to form a deformed section, and the head cover is affixed within the first stepped section by the deformed section. As a result of this configuration, the head cover can be more firmly affixed while the sealing effect between the cylinder tube and the head cover is ensured. This eliminates need for a seal means and an engagement means which is used to affix the head cover, and consequently, the number of parts can be reduced.
Tool head
A tool head includes a first frame having a first arm and a second arm extending from a base to a distal end. The tool head may also include a first blade in the frame between the first arm and the second arm. The first blade is movable from the base toward the distal end. The tool head further includes a second frame hingedly coupled to the first arm. The second frame may include a second blade. The second frame is configured to rotate between a closed-frame position and an open-frame position. The tool head further includes a trip lever hingedly coupled to the first arm and configured to rotate between an open-lever position and a closed-lever position. The trip lever is in the open-lever position when the second frame is in the closed-frame position and the trip lever is in the closed-lever position when the second frame is in the open-frame position.
Device for fixing metal tube with plate by expansion
A device for fixing a metal tube with a plate by expansion includes a pressure head, a jacket and an expansion block. The jacket is of a cylindrical structure having a bottom and provided with a plurality of openings on the side having the bottom and near the bottom, and threads are provided on inner wall of jacket; threads are provided on outer wall of pressure head, and threads on outer wall of pressure head are matched with threads on inner wall of jacket; a cone head is fixed below pressure head and has an outer surface in an inverted cone shape; the expansion block has an inner surface in an inverted cone shape, a plurality of extrusion heads are arranged on outer surface and pass through openings on the side of the jacket; and inner surface of the expansion block is fitted with outer surface of the cone head.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SHRINK-FIT JOINT
A method for manufacturing a torque-transmitting assembly includes: turning an inner component (b) machining an outermost surface of the inner component such that the outermost surface of the inner component has a continuous convex shape; (c) turning an external component; (d) machining an innermost surface of the external component such that the innermost surface of the external component has a continuous convex shape; (e) heating the innermost surface of the external component to expand a size of the innermost surface after machining the innermost surface of the external component; (f) placing the heated external component onto the inner component while the inner component is maintained at room temperature; and (g) holding the inner component and the external component in place until an interface between the innermost surface of the external component and the outermost surface of the inner component reaches the room temperature.
BRACKET FOR ATTACHMENT WITH A HYDRAULIC DAMPER ASSEMBLY AND A METHOD OF JOINING A BRACKET AND A HYDRAULIC DAMPER ASSEMBLY
A bracket comprises a body extending along a center axis between a first end and a second end. The body defines a first groove and a second groove. The first groove, located at the first end and flaring radially outwardly, presents a first slanted surface. The second groove, located at the second end and flaring radially outwardly, presents a second slanted surface. A pair of coupling members including a first and a second coupling member are respectively located in the first and second grooves for engagement with a housing of a hydraulic damper assembly. The first end includes at least one first deformation for retaining the first coupling member. The second end includes at least one second deformation for retaining the second coupling member. A hydraulic damper assembly including the bracket and a method of joining the bracket and the hydraulic damper assembly are also disclosed herein.
In situ formation of threads throughout bore of sleeve inserted into substrate hole
Threads are formed in situ throughout a bore of a sleeve inserted into a corresponding hole in a substrate. A sleeve having a bore is inserted into a corresponding hole of a substrate. A mandrel is rotated through the sleeve. The mandrel has a threaded ended; the threaded end rotating throughout the bore of the sleeve forms threads throughout the bore. Prior to inserting the sleeve into the corresponding hole of the substrate, the sleeve can be placed onto the mandrel. In this case, the mandrel has an increasing diameter at the threaded end thereof, such that the sleeve rests on the mandrel towards the threaded end thereof where the bore has a smaller diameter than the mandrel. The mandrel is then rotated out of the sleeve in a direction opposite the direction in which the sleeve has been inserted into the corresponding hole of the substrate.
