Flexible Track Manufacturing System and Method

A method for installing a flexible track system is presented. At least one of a number of heights or a number of angles is selected for a variable height base system that connects a base attaching system and flexible tracks in the flexible track system to each other, wherein at least one of the number of heights or the number of angles for the variable height base system maintains at least one of a desired distance between the flexible tracks and a surface of a structure to which the base attaching system is attached to the flexible tracks in the flexible track system matching a contour of the surface of the structure. The flexible track system is attached to the surface of the structure.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE MACHINING OF AN END OF AN ELEMENTARY PANEL FOR ITS FRICTION STIR WELDING
20190262933 · 2019-08-29 ·

Device for machining an end of an elementary panel for its subsequent friction stir welding, the elementary panel comprising a metal body defining two opposite faces, the machining device comprising a chassis, at least two guiding members configured to guide a first face of the elementary panel, at least one machining tool mounted on the chassis, the machining tool being positioned between the two guiding members and at least one pressure member mounted on the chassis and configured to exert a pressure on a second face of the elementary panel so as to press the elementary panel against the guiding members along the horizontal reference direction.

PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING WALL ELEMENTS FROM NAILABLE AND/OR STAPLEABLE MATERIALS
20190224881 · 2019-07-25 ·

A process for manufacturing wall elements from nailable and/or stapleable materials, in which a wall element frame is positioned on a horizontal worktable. Wall panels are placed on the frame and the wall panels are fastened to the frame by nails and/or staples, which are driven by a compressed air setting device. A mobile robotin particular an autonomous mobile robothas a compressed air setting device and/or at least one milling unit and is movable on the surface formed by the wall panels. The robot motion is automatically controlled along the surface formed by the wall panels. At predetermined positions, the milling unit and/or the compressed air setting device is actuated to process the wall panels and/or to fasten them to the wall element frame.

Automated Apparatus for Moving an End Effector Over a Surface of an Airfoil-Shaped Body

An automated apparatus comprising: a chassis configured to be mounted on an airfoil-shaped body without contacting its trailing edge; a carriage translatably coupled to the chassis; and an end effector pivotably coupled to the carriage. The chassis comprises: a frame; a motorized drive rolling element rotatably coupled to the frame; a rocker mechanism pivotably coupled to the frame; first and second ball and socket bearings mounted to opposing ends of the rocker arm; and a third ball and socket bearing mounted to the frame. During a maintenance procedure, the airfoil-shaped body is oriented at a non-zero angle of attack with the leading edge higher than the trailing edge and with the balls of the ball and socket bearings in contact with the airfoil-shaped body. A gravitational force exerted urges the chassis toward the trailing edge of the airfoil-shaped body for all chordwise positions of the carriage.

Machine tool with an assembly configuration with a cantilevered tool

A machine tool for carrying out operations on a part includes a longitudinal rail, a transverse arm, a module for connection between the transverse arm and the longitudinal rail, the module being fitted in translation on the longitudinal rail, a tool which is supported by the transverse arm, and a retention unit which is arranged at one end of the transverse arm, and includes at least one sucker. The machine tool has an assembly configurationin which the retention unit and the tool are positioned respectively on both sides of the longitudinal rail, such that the tool is fitted cantilevered relative to the longitudinal rail. This provides the machine tool with great polyvalence, in that it makes it possible to carry out operations in areas which in particular have significant curvatures, which are difficult to access, or which are unsuitable for securing of the sucker(s) of the retention unit.

METHOD FOR ANALYZING A TOOL, AND MOBILE POWER TOOL

A method for using a tool, for example a drilling tool, a chiseling tool or a grinding tool, with a mobile power tool wherein the mobile power tool determines at least one property of the tool. A mobile power tool is also disclosed.

Bearing device

A bearing device of a portable power tool, in particular a router, has at least one main body unit. The main body unit is formed as a corner guiding unit and has a bearing surface and a lead-through opening. The bearing surface is configured to bear on a workpiece. The lead-through opening is configured to receive an insert tool configured to perform work on a workpiece.

LARGE DIAMETER TRAVELLING PIPE CUTTER

According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a low profile travelling pipe cutter is provided which is adapted to perform at least one of cutting and beveling a hollow vessel while traveling around the vessel using a cutting tool mounted thereon. The pipe cutter includes inner and outer carriages, a capstan assembly attached to the outer carriage to which a feed cable is attached, and rollers attached to the outer carriage to which a tension cable is attached. The force adjustment assembly changes the vertical position of the outer carriage relative to the inner carriage to compensate for the pipe cutter going inwardly and outwardly as it travels around a hollow vessel in order to maintain constant pressure caused by the lever tension interface. A guard assembly is provided for covering and uncovering the cutting tool during cutting.

Drilling machine and method of manufacturing drilled product

According to one implementation, a drilling machine includes a drilling structure and a travelling machine. The drilling structure drills an object to be drilled composed of at least one structural object on a platy part. The travelling machine positions the drilling structure in a travelling direction of the travelling machine by travelling in a longitudinal direction of the at least one structural object using the at least one structural object as a guide.
